Probably if some words were left out, it would've landed, but I still applaud it. In terms of being funny, that shouldn't be taken away from battlers. That's how "punchlines" (what you'd refer to as "bars") would've started in rap anyway. The debate should be which approach works more in a given situation. For example, in this battle, do Uno's jokes have more impact than Bonnie's "bars," or is it vice versa? It's about what you say and how you say it, not about "bars" per se, but about controlling the situation. So the question is, without prejudice to the angles or tools used, who controlled the situation?

This was one of the most uncomfortable battles ive ever seen...and it was partly because the crowd felt 1)weird about a male/female battle, and 2)uncomfortable with the no holds barred style that uno gave to bonnie godiva. He didnt pull any punches whatsoever, which made him come off like a bully...BUT THATS BATTLE RAP...there's an aggressor and a victim in every battle. Some put up a good fight and lose, while others get body bagged horribly. Unfortunately this was a battle where bonnie got ate. Hats off to Uno. He prepared for her like she was his equal, which is why he hit as hard below the belt like he did. I give this battle 2/1 Uno Lavos...I wanna say 3/0 but Bonnie Godiva's 3rd round, though untruthful had a lasting effect on the crowd and those who watch now.
