Yeah, I actually didn’t like unlocked. I seemed like too much of a guide and almost all of it was stuff I already knew,plus a couple of shiny new pictures. Then the actual story part seemed too rushed. It actually reminds me of a very rushed fanfic. I was complaining to my freind about it, and she said it sounds like the author is trying to make more money by reselling the same information. I don’t know if I agree with that, but I’m kinda disappointed and it seems not worth the hype. Also no sokeefe now I’m mad.

@@sophiaw2213 Yes! I was looking forward to some new Keefe jokes and sokeefe moments to cheer me up, but no. It did feel very rushed and way to short. Why would she wast a year re writing everything in the series. I wasted an entire weekend re reading the books. The pictures were really nice, but that's about the only good thing. And I really don't like waiting a year for a few shiny pictures. I got the book to read. I can't even bring myself to finish the series guide portion. It's like nonfiction fictional. Thank you for reading my ranting😂

@@emilypostmus472 exactly! It didn’t seem like something that should take a year to write. I have the uttermost respect toward Shannon. I have tried to write books and short story’s and failed miserably, and I understand that it takes a lot off effort to write a book, but the guide portion should have been released once the series was done. Idk if you wanted me to respond but I’m just ranting now I’ll stop.

I am currently writing a book and i thought that i could just jump into it but honestly it takes forever to not only figure out the plot and the characters and their personalities but also an entirely different world and how it works. The series guide was like an author's cheat sheet. One of the hardest things to do is write all of that info in without it being a boring information dumb, and I believe that Shannon has done an incredible job of that. So I really don't get the purpose of the series guide. Maybe if she put in a few of the registrys with Keefe's obviously and maybe some people that we don't know well, and touched on some of the other species. I would've been happy with that. But honestly that book was NOT worth it. I can look up all of the art online. The reason I get books is yo read not to look at pretty pictures.

@@emilypostmus472 Good luckfor trying to write a book! I know that i only have met you on the internet but you seem like a really good writer! I have currently taken to drawing and writing short story’s, though I’m not good at either haha. Also, this book was the first one that came out since I became part of the fandom (yeah I’m new here i first read the books righttttt after legacy came out) and I was really excited becaus I thought that it would just be a few drawings and the characters profiles for the main characters, but it was wayyyyyy longer than I thought and I pretty much skimmed all of the guide. Like you said, I buy books for READING, not pictures, I would have been fine if it was JUST the pictures at the start and a few chapters in the guide, and then the book, but no.
