this song wasn't from a game or anime, it was an album original like Collective, Disintegration etc. Short Circuit was the name of the unit/concept. After Kotoko and Kaorin left they're having a new Short Circuit unit now.

A good way to tell the difference is in how their voices are sustained. KOTOKO's vocals are held for longer, and her vocal vibrato is more prominent; Kaori, on the other hand, is slightly softer, holds notes for a shorter duration, and has a more subtle vibrato (almost to the point that it's somewhat difficult to tell most of the time).
