Agreed, at least for proximity. However. No writing chat. It could be abused to hunt down players with the entire server, and also ruin the immersion if you have messages pop up all over your screen.

I once helped a naked hatchlings before and gave him a salewa. He also saved me twice and so forth. Than he died by a Scav so I took his tags and friended him. Great guy hahaha
