It’s probably because his soul is not weighted by Inga. He truly believes he’s acting righteously, and as such he’s not being swarmed by darkness.

It's scenes (and human confrontations) like this example that leave me a little sad that much of the following GARO installments didn't go farther in showing the "off-screen" consequences of their hunts. Rather, later series kept on w/ the romanticism of what it means to be a Knight, and why their struggle vs Horrors is so important, and yet I can't help but feel a certain cathartic perspective was excluded in the meanwhile. After all, we see a number of examples of Makai personnel who can be as monstrous as Horrors, but their cases tend to factor into a more important, named character's backstory (to explain why they have become who they are in the present). Such a pity...

sith2u the series only focusing on why makai knight are humanity shield against unknown factors as horror...not how the heroes acquired such power...in case of kouga backgrounds we only see a glimpse of his life in later series or movies...so far we know kouga motivation on becoming not only because he inherited it from his father(not from inheritance glory),after witnessing how his father died he make a pact with zaruba and received further guidance from that ring...he also practiced his art of combat because he have also followed his father when hunting horror...in the journey his father also past on some knowledge to kouga...not only that he also enlist in makai academy to complete his training...then he can pull out the sword which entitled him the next garo armour succesor...we also know that kouga father is a makai knight and his mother is a makai priest...that was the only information this garo series have given us...

How could they go "further" into the consequences? It would just be the same like this, over and over again. Humans seeking revenge because their loved ones were cut down for becoming horrors.

@@ZillaGame77 Yeah I Agree plus it would be too repetitive. And would get old quickly and this one Episode is great enough to showcase why the Makai knights really needs to kill horrors.
