Kouris Dam, The Largest Dam In Cyprus | Limassol, Cyprus

Kouris Dam is located in Limassol district and is the largest dam in Cyprus. It is part of the Southern Conveyor Project that carries water to the South-East part of the island. It has a capacity of 115.000.000 cubic meters, a surface of 3,6 square kilometers and a height of 110 meters. It was built between 1984-1988 and overflowed only three time since construction. For its construction Alassa, the village shown in the background of this video, had to be relocated.
