DX Chogokin Turbo Robo! DX 超合金 ターボロボ
This is the last Chogokin mecha of the 80s. What we have here is a very nicely detailed set of vehicles. For only the second time in Sentai History, this is a single Mecha made up of five individual pieces (Great Five from Maskman being the first, Super Liverobo is really the combination of two mecha). Unlike Great Five, this Mecha is actually more fluidly designed in that if you look at say...Turbo Truck, it's not easy to immediately point out what part of the mecha it makes up.
This set includes the following Vehicles:
1. Turbo GT
2. Turbo Truck
3. Turbo Jeep
4. Turbo Buggy
5. Turbo Wagon
1. ターボGT
2. ターボトラック
3. ターボジープ
4. ターボバギー
5. ターボワゴン
Also included is a garden variety of weapons including the sword, Kousoku Ken 高速剣 and two bases to place the Turbo Jeep and Turbo Buggy on so that it doesn't roll away.
20 years later, this toy still hold up well. It's very colorful, quite heavy and most importantly...it's the first true car based Mecha. A surefire win all around.
The only complaints I have are the awful decals that seemingly peel off on their own. Also, the scale in the show is way off. In the show, the vehicles are pretty much all the same size. Here, there is a huge dfference.
