Such a beautiful song for such a beautiful video, made for such a beautifully complicated, couple. Well done! I think Ortega and Kovacs were the true soulmates. I think they knew that deep down, but their loyalty, guilt, allegiance, respect, etc. to their perspective person, kept them tethered. Quell and Ryker were of course loved by their perspective person, but they were more like teachers than true love. Quell and Ryker, ultimately prepared Kovacs and Ortega to be the people they became. And the people they became, were meant for each other. When he came to her, to let her know he survived....why do that? Why not just let her believe you were dead? Because he desperately wanted to give back that duplicated sleeve, himself? Yes, he cared about her and knew if it was him, he would want to know if she was alive, but I think it was more to that. There was no point in him going to her, himself. Kovacs doesn't do anything without a purposeful reason. He wanted her to know he was alive, and would be out there somewhere. He was keeping that proverbial door, open.

It breaks my heart that they don't end up together at the end of the show... They were so perfect for each other and there was so much development...I wish Kovacs could have moved on from Quell and Kristin could have moved on from Ryker to make this happen.

The series is a masterpiece, this video is a masterpiece, and they together are perfection. SPOILER ALERT: I hated the finale, I trully believe they were already in love. There is no point in going back, they should have gone ahead together. I was in tears on the last episode.
