Our Koycegiz tour continues on the Aegean tour. The best boat trip from Köyceğiz to Dalyan and Iztuzu beach is here. The boat tour starts in the morning and lasts until the evening.
After visiting Köyceğiz Lake with daily boats departing from Köyceğiz lake shore, you will wander around Dalyan canals and arrive at Iztuzu beach, which is famous for sea turtles at noon. There is a swimming and lunch break for over an hour.
Iztuzu beach is one of the most important breeding centers of Caretta Carettas, which are in danger of extinction. The side where you set foot on the beach is fresh water. The vast sea in front of you is the salty Mediterranean. Now the choice is up to you. You can swim in salt water or fresh water.
There is a lunch break after swimming. Grilled Fish, Meatballs or Chicken are among the options.
You follow the historical rock tombs of the ancient city of Kaunos and return by boat through the Dalyan canals. You can see blue crabs and swimming turtles on the shore. On the way back, you take a break at the Sultaniye spa complex, where there is a hot spring and a mud bath.
According to the information published by Köyceğiz Municipality, Sultaniye Hot Springs is the hot spring with the highest radioactivity in Turkey. Water at a temperature of 39 degrees contains calcium chloride, calcium sulfate, calcium sulfide and radon.
Sultaniye hot spring waters are good for rheumatism, sciatica, as well as skin and gynecological diseases. But the most important thing is the presence of its rehabilitative feature through high radioactivity.
It has been determined that the spa was opened by the people of Kaunos two thousand years ago. The surrounding hospital ruins also confirm this. It is said that drinking the spring water next to the big bath cures various internal diseases. There are rooms for rent in the spa. Also, if you want to cool off from the heat, just jump into Köyceğiz Lake. Swimming in the lake is free.
