Ця пісня присвячується тим, хто з 14-го року захищає Україну від російського вторгнення ціною власного життя.
Автор пісні, Гліб Бабіч:
"Мольфар" з'явився за один день. Раптом. Не спитавши навіть мене - чи хочу я цього тягаря? Напередодні був особливий візит KOZAK SYSTEM до фронту. Ми знімали кліп до нашої спільної пісні «Подай зброю». Зйомка відбувалася просто на передовій. Напередодні козаки дали польовий концерт для хлопців та дівчат.
Того ж вечора, наступного ранку і в процесі зйомок на мене сипалися десятки запитань. Козаки завжди приймали близько до серця і війну за свободу, і долю тих, хто воює за Україну. Але після такого щільного спілкування їм захотілося вникнути, відчути і зрозуміти набагато більше. Ми говорили про те, наскільки наше суспільство цінує ризик та жертву своїх воїнів. Говорили про пам'ять. Про щирість. Про співчуття. Багато про що.
Вранці я відвіз їх до Краматорська і посадив на поїзд до Києва. І на зворотному шляху до Попасної у мене почали виникати музика та слова Мольфара.
Мольфар прийшов одразу. Цілісним чином, ідеєю та формою. Мабуть, вплинули наші розмови напередодні. Мольфар - це наша совість, пам'ять, щира скорбота та розуміння сенсу війни за свою країну та Свободу. Це все - про тих хто сплачує максимальну ціну за спільне благо. І містична здатність до самопожертви. Жертвуй собою - щоб дати жити іншим. Саме такі люди боронять Україну.
За кілька днів я приїхав у коротке відрядження з фронту до Києва. Прийшов на репетицію, увімкнув мікрофон і заспівав Мольфара. Просто так, без жодного супроводу. Спершу було кілька хвилин повної тиші. А потім козаки взяли інструменти та почали грати. А Іван - співати. Саме так, як я уявляв. Без жодного слова з мого боку «як треба».
Це була найдивніша репетиція, де розбирають нову пісню. Складалося враження, що вони заздалегідь знали - як і що грати. Не було суперечок. Не було особливих пошуків. І майже не було розмов. Працювали практично мовчки. А Іван не просто співав - він ставав Мольфаром. З самого першого виконання він не співав - проживав пісню. Йому діставалося найбільше. Він говорив - Мольфар за одне виконання вичавлює з мене більше сил та емоцій, ніж двогодинний концерт. Але співав знову і знову. Пісня народилася за день.
Минуло чотири роки. Але пісня ніяк не могла дойти до слухачів. З різних причин. Коли почалося повномасштабне вторгнення, ми зрозуміли - чому. Бо все загострилося у десятки, сотні, тисячі разів. Бо смерть збирає найщедріші жнива за останні вісімдесят років. Бо усвідомлення того, що ми стоїмо на порозі знищення - перетворили подвиг на спосіб життя цілої армії та цілої Нації. Вона потрібна саме зараз. І як же ж шкода, що це «зараз» таки настало.
І прийшов час пісні. Вікторія Квітка, Широчкін Гліб, та Євген Білінський прийшли до Козаків і запропонували свою концепцію. Сувору та атмосферну. І зробили те, що обіцяли. Безкоштовно. Бо за пам’ять та Свободу грошей брати не можна.
Самі KOZAK SYSTEM зараз більше займаються допомогою Армії, ніж музикою. А концерти бувають лише благодійними, і також на користь Армії.
А Іван Леньо, на самому початку ворожої навали, взяв у руки зброю. Щоб захищати. Щоб не дати зруйнувати та вбити все, про що багато років співали Козаки. І тепер він остаточно зрозумів, що є в цій пісні. І що вичавлювало з нього всі емоції та сили.
Напевно, він нарешті більше не входить у образ Мольфара. Напевно, він просто став ним.
Для пісні настав час поєднатися з життям і долею свого народу. Стати їхньою частиною. Тепер вона буде зрозуміла більшості.
Дай Бог вам легкого неба! Вам, незламним воїнам, тим про кого співає свою молитву Мольфар.
Це не реквієм. Це пам'ять. Це ваше життя після смерті.
Земний вам уклін. І вибачте нас."
