KP was more efficient in his first Dallas season then he ever was in New York. And that was coming off a big injury. Then played incredibly against the Clippers in last years Playoffs till he got hurt. Then he needed surgery again, missed the start of the season and still had his most effective season this year. His average ORtg in New York was 105.3, his average DRtg was 106.5. In Dallas so far? ORtg 113.6, DRtg 108.3 So can anyone explain to me why everyone hate on him so much? Also he started BOTH season after a mayor Injury! This jear he can focus completely on his strengh and game. something he could never do since he was traded to Dallas. There was only one huge problem this offseason. The Clippers were the worst matchup for Dallas, if it comes to the Luka/KP duo. Cause Kawhi was guarding KP and George was guarding Luka. So they couldnt play any Luka/KP P&R, cause the Clippers then could switch without any problems. Name any other Franchise that has 2 players who can guard KP on the Roll or in the post and simultaniously can guard Luka in 1 vs 1 on the perimeter.... George and Kawhi are 6'7-6'8 230-235 lbs but both are agile enough to chase Luka around blocks or to stay in front of him. There is no other combination out there who fits better defensively. Thats why KP was mostly taken out of the offensive gameplan. Cause Luka switching on to everybody else was the way better alternative. Why do peole blame KP for that? The Clippers saw last year what Dallas can be if they let Luka get his shots (and be honest, he can allways do that) and KP getting involved and hot. So they took the lesser evil. They tryed (and succeeded) to shut down KP completely, made Luka a one man show (hoping he gets gased late in the game), and also made the Dallas role players beat them. (THJ, DFS to be exact) and those guys were just not consistent enough. So their plan worked in 4 games. Thats enough to win a series. In my opinion Carlisle was outcoached by Lue (never thought I would have to say that), cause he couldnt find a way to counter this defensive game plan. I dont know, some off ball screens for KP to get him deep in the post, or to get a switch away from Kawhi. Never happened. Carlisle did exactly what Lue hoped. Park KP at the perimeter so that they could play ultra smallball with Morris/Batum on defense and 5 man out on offense. I realy hope KP comes out swinging and shuts those toxic wannabe MFFL's and "TV experts" up.

There was only one moment that got me worried about his future in Dallas, dont know if Miss Ieva got it in her report, when asked what he would like in the future, dude quickly said "id love to be in a good organization" AMONG OTHER THINGS, dont rip this out of the context, he also seemed a bit "wtf did i just say", but yeah, i asked myself right away if he thinks this is not a good organization. Or rather not a good fit. Also, my own 2 cents, no, he hasn't gone all Blake G. and pretend he cant dunk (play defense). You have to remember his first year with Luka, if anybody didn't think they are a great fit needs to see a doctor pronto. A guy that can shoot from the logo and a guy that will get you the ball anywhere PERIOD. They make this work, add another point guard and take the ball from Luka-they will win. Peace. P.s. Luka is loud and annoying even with his own teammates, he ran his mouth with Carlisle too. Little does he know that the new coach has somewhat of a shorter fuse and is not this cute and cuddly ex-Mav that will take that crap :D J.Kidd has an evil twin waiting to come out.

Good comment, except one thing is untrue. Kidd will not take the ball from Luka😉😉 Luka will give ball if there is somebody worth of it. Look at his games for Slovenia. Dude didnt want to break the alltime record in recorded points by one player in OLIMPIC tournament and went to the bench 5 minutes to the end at 48points, record was 54..and said that also other teammates deserve to play and be recognized...thats about his stats padding my guy.... he will teach Kidd how to be better coach, believe me, mark my words😗😗 and also about beefs with Rick...wouldnt you be also frustrated if u saw that his logic with KP and timeouts is not working? He is a generational talent, he will be in the HOF, and he will win atleast 4 rings.... NBA players with some exceptions(Jokic,Gianiss,Kawhii) are much bigger divas than Luka. He NEEDS to be a center and stop this bizarre obsession with making him a 3pt. specialist. Him and Luka need to do pick and roll, he needs to be where he can block shots, and he needs to BOTH work somewhere inside the paint when his defender's not a rim-protecting threat, AND further out when he is. Simply treating every opposing center as if they need to be drawn away from the paint to guard KP on the perimeter is only worthwhile if he's going to shoot 45% from there AND BETTER. There's a LOT of guys that can shoot 38% from there and he's wasting his 7'3" if all he's gonna do is what every 6'4" does already. They've got THOSE guys standing outside the arena every night, hoping to buy a ticket. Dallas has wasted The Zinger since he's been there. Plus, he shouldn't be running up and down the court in the first place with all his lower body injury issues.

He couldnt hit an open layup. But what did the coaches and teammates do? They openly had his back and told him to just keep shooting. And now look at game 5! 27 points, 12 of 20 from the field, 13 assists and the game deciding steal and assist... THATS how you support a struggling co star, not by degrading him to a decoy! You strenghen his back, tell him he has to stay agressive. Do you watch the finals? Look at the 1st play the Bucks run in every game... for whom is it? Did you see THJ in games 3 and 4? Did Carlisle change his role to a corner spotup shooter after he took those stupid shots in those games? KP did everything right. The coaches just didnt have his back and degraded him, when they should have designed plays early in the games to get him going! @@christophwilser3589 Once again... why could the Clippers do exactly the same against the Jazz (3rd best re. Season defense). The Clippers as a team had an ORtg of 122.2 against us. They had an ORtg of 130.1. If you dont understand what that means. The Utah defense couldnt stop the Clippers whatsoever. Gorbert was Useless, and as a Team the Jazz outrebounded the Clippers by 2 Rebounds in those 6 games... So the 13.5 RPG reg Season Gorbert didnt help much either, did he? P.s. If you are mainly involfed in defending the attacking player, its less likely you can grab the rebound. Just saying, have you ever played Basketball? Ever chased down a player who beat you on a drive, trying to chase after him and trying to alter the layup in any way? I wanna see you then getting the rebound if he misses the layup. In my opinion the biggest mistake was giving Boban all this minutes. Our best defensive game was Game 5! We hold the Clippers to 41.5% FG. And what was different in this game, then in all the other ones? Powell had 22 Minutes, in the other 6 never more then 7! Powell isnt a good Post defenser, or on Ball defender, but he still has a high lateral speed and is a real P%R thread. With him and KP their drive was basically non existent. With Boban on the field, they (Kawhi or Paul doesnt matter) attacked him, he droped, they took the easy non contested jumper or floater. And yeah, if they still missed, cause Boban wasnt actually defending, he was in the best position to get the rebound! With Kp defending the P&R Dallas didnt play drop, they played switch and KP was away from the basket chasing/defending KP or Kawhi at the perimeter. Not the best place to position yoourself for the defensive rebound, dont you think? But why am I trying to explain tactics and schemes to a guy who clearly doesnt know anything about this things... So I end this conversation this way: KP only played that bad cause he sis a bum who plays without effort and is a total bum. Coaching or the other teams strenghs had nothing to do with it. They realy did everything to help KP get going on offense and be in the best position on defense. All his fault! He's the worst player in the leage! Are you satisfied now?
