I honestly think that Kevin Pollak is the best interviewer I have ever seen. Not only does he know almost everything about his guests (also props to his research team) but he understands their way of thinking, he listens and has obviously a lot of fun. Plus he's a very funny dude; always loved him in movies! He is insightful, perceptive and makes the conversational room for his guests to play around in and feel at home. I'm almost always sad, when an episode ends! I love this show so much! Thank you Kevin, Jaime, Samm and the rest of the crew for this truly entertaining and also informative chat show! You are the best!

One of my fave things about Kevin as an interviewer is that he lets the guest answer the questions, until they are done. He doesn't try to spit half their answer out to impress or get a gag in to steal the laugh. Some others on networks could do note taking.

YES! How Kevin described his role in red state is exactly true, his presence does relax you and when his characters ever do get taken "out" you are immediately trapped in the story and have to know why his character died.

Kevin Smith has a genuine appreciation for his work that is infectious. I don't agree with his political or religious views (most decisive in human interactions). I am still a fan for sure, an honesty and excitement about him that even if he tells a story that I fundamentally disagree with will watch or listen to. He comes from a real place that I actually respect, more so than just talking points.

ill watch or listen to anything kevin Smith does. Just a nice guy and modest. You don't have to like all his movies but oh well. His humor isn't for every one. As a critic the way he speaks about movies and comics is epic. He can make you want to see or read something because he's a fan. He's modest as hell. Just because your funny doesn't make you a comic. No such thing as failure after mallrats failed. He speaks great words of wisdom we all can relate to.

Even by Smith's own admission, he's not a very good filmmaker, but at heart, he is a great storyteller. I have followed him since the beginning of his career, and he is the same good hearted, funny guy, he has been since the beginning. He is very genuine, even after Hollywood, and I support his movies to support him. If you are not a fan of the films, check out his podcasts, his speaking engagements, or one of the many comic books he's written... Hell, send him a message on twitter, he's one of the few celebrities who will answer his fans. I write a web comic, and he's been kind enough to read it, and send me words of encouragement. I started the comic years ago, after hearing him give a speech about how everyone should get off their ass and create something, because everyone has a unique story to tell.
@contactkeithstack6 жыл бұрын
@@rudeboyzippo I'm the same way. I watch his films, not because I like them in themselves so much (except for dogma, jay and Bob), but because I like his comedy and general positivity in general.

Kevin Pollak... Nicest most humble guy in the world. Met him while filming "A Few Good Men"... I stupidly made the comment "He was lucky to be working with the likes of Tom Cruise, Kiefer Southerland, Demi Moore etc.." I was a young Marine being used as an extra in the movie. I always wished I would see him again to apologize. After seeing the movie, I recognized him and for more than 25 years felt like a fool. If you read this, I couldn't be more sorry dude. 1:47:44 and cut to here right about the middle of August 2019, and I think we're roughly about 3 weeks out from when we got the debut of the official trailer for "Jay & Silent Bob Reboot" that Kev dropped, and well look at that, including one Mr Benjamin Affleck as Holden McNeil :) Yeah I doubt it's little more than an extended cameo (as was the Holden character even in J&SBSB, Affleck had much more screentime as "Real Ben Affleck" in that) but I previously hadn't had expectation of hope that Ben would've come back to be involved at all, and I would guess most fans didn't.

When I was 3 I watched the Carebears movie in a theater called 'Mugs and Movies.' You could have a meal while watching a film. It went out of business sometime after the Christmas Vacation film came out. The Alamo Drafthouse copied off of what others failed at, especially since they started in 97 long after the whole food and a film went out of style, which was popular in the 80s in some States in the US.

I remember hearing that Good Will Hunting/William Goldman story way back in like late 1997/early 98, and it was the REALLY strong rumor that it was that Matt & Ben's original script had them laying heavily into the NSA storyline and making the rest of the story more action/thriller-oriented, but that Goldman came in and kiboshed that, and he rewrote like the entire 2nd half of the script, to what the movie ended up being. But no, as was the case so often in Hollywood, wasn't true at all lol
