Probably has a lot to do with not posting a new video in months and niche hobby content. Very kind of you to say though. Glade to see that some of my nonsense is providing entertainment still despite my absence.

The kph40 is nice it's quite similar to me as banded ksc75 which ups the low end . Also it's way more comfortable than the 30 non grado. I have the 75 , 30i (grado and yaxis) and 40

Nice job modding, I'll be using your video to do this when my grey KPH30i's come in. What I might do differently is repurpose my Tin T2 IEM cable to use for these since I'm not a fan of IEM's. Another thing I might do is take off the interior foam padding so it's exposed and put my Vever/Grado G pad knockoffs on over that. I hear that there is a noticeable improvement when the foam is taken off. Let me know if you decide to try it and/or how your modded KPH30i's have been since you did the mod!

Yeah didn’t want to alter the sound too much and the clear version doesn’t have the internal foam. Reusing an IEM cable is definitely the smart way to do it financially.

@@fullhavocplays The only other failure point is the headband snapping from what I hear. Mine are brand new and I plan on taking care of them. If/when they snap on me maybe I'll find someone with a 3D printer to make the part cuz I know there's plans/specs online.

That makes sense, I guess that's why some folks say there is a difference between the black/grey ones I have and the clear ones you have. Again, nice job dude!

Much appreciated, I've been using mine all morning, and I'm still blown away with how good these are for the price.

Is there a way to mod the stock cable to use it as a removable cable?
@fullhavocplays Жыл бұрын
Potentially yes you could use the same connectors I did and and add the mating pair to the existing cable. It would be difficult given how thin the wires are but it is doable.

Does it improve the sound from the headphones? I just got mine and i will not stop a 10 dollars upgrade i can benefit from.
@fullhavocplays2 жыл бұрын
Nope, changing the cable will not have any tangible effect on the sound of the headphone.

why you don't remove the original pad?
@fullhavocplays2 жыл бұрын
It’s glued on, so removing it is a pain, and would make it a bit uglier. Plus the grading pads have a hole in the center, so removing the foam would also affect the sound.

@@fullhavocplays it seems to affect it positively tho. No need to have it at all.

@@fullhavocplays From what Zeos says removing it allows to drive it more easily as well as adding a bit more treble , though unglueing it if it already suits you might not be worth it
