No actually it depends when your birthday is. When you're born (in Korea) you're 1 year old. Then come new year you're another year old. For example, my birthday is in november, so I turned 2 years old when I was technically less than 2 months old. Basically 2 years older than I was internationally. But if your birthday were somewhere just after New Years, like January or February, then you would have been basically 1 year old when you turned 2 years old in Korea (aka only 1 year approx. older than you actually were).

rozydozy11 Well i'm not sure i just took sooyoung case (since i'm a sone) everyone is at least 1 year older, but since she's born in february 1990 she is consider as the same age as the other members borned in 1989 (hence she doesn't call them unnies) unlike yoona who is also born in 1990 (but in may) she is considered a year younger and call all the older members including sooyoung unnies ... same case with exo's kai

Whatever age you are on the last day of the year, you're one year older than that in Korean.

jesus rivera the reason sooyoung is usually one year older in korean is because her birthday is early. If your birthday for the year hasnt passed yet, you're 2 years older in korean. If it has already passed (like Sooyoung) then you're one year older.

I basically got them all closer in age than they did. It was through knowing when bands came out and adding a few years for training and if I had seen them on some program. I'll admit that does give me the upper hand. I've also watched way to many dramas and can now tell the age of the Korean populous way better that of the USA.
