I'm surprised they don't have a member out here in the East because if you do it to the East Coast you actually have the final 228 miles of the NE Corridor split between JYP & YG Entertainment.

@@caffeine3910 actually there's was no BIG3, it was BIG2: SM & DPS but then YG came with Jinusean, Bigbang, 2ne1 and the worldwide star PSY. JYP entered the game with Wonder Girls, Miss A, 2PM & Got7 there was no way for DPS to continue. Since gen 2, K-pop has BIG3: YG, SM & JYP and so far they continue to create groups that lead K-pop in some way: Blackpink, Twice, Exo, Nct, Red Velvet, Stray Kids etc.

Actually the original ceo,Lee hoyeon have been sick and hospitalized since 2009,the company was managed by his wife during rainbow and ajax debuts

When the original CEO had to retire, the company was managed by his wife and they started treating the artists horribly. :/ Some of DSP's artists went neck and neck with bigger groups from bigger companies because they were handled very well..

Back in the 1990s Dsp was part of (The Big 3)which was (The Big 2) at the time with S.M. Sadly failed groups were the reason why they aren’t that big.The good groups were Kara,SS501,and Rainbow

if I remember correctly, my uncle used to listen to Sobangcha, but it was like mid 90s, like around 1995, I heard of Sobangcha, ZAM, Coco, Idol before Sechs Kies, but when I start listen to kpop, it was Sechs Kies really popular around 1998

From what I can see looks like your transition point from Big 2 SM & DSP into Big Three SM JYP & YG was December 2006- December 2009. That is actually evident if you have either Asiana or Korean Air inflight entertainment magazines from that time period.

Sechskies, Fin.k.l, SS501 and KARA! I kinda like April's songs as well! :) DSP has so many great artists. Their artists can even compete with the Big 3! I wish they would take care if them though. Also, missing the days when it wasn't about the Big 3 only. I'm a SM stan but I seriously miss the variety of top artists before.

KARA were the biggest local and international group in Japan, yet DSP messed up the chance to make them the biggest queens of J-Pop due to its stupidity. Not to mention that KARA was the first girl group to ever have a concert in Tokyo Dome, AND FILL THE STADIUM. DSP sucks.

Sechskies was formed by DSP back in the 90s (1997) but then they disbanded in 2000. After many years, they reunited again as 5 members (originally 6) and got signed under YG. There were a lot of rumors that DSP maltreated sechskies thats why they disbanded
