i don’t know how to explain this well but honorifics is basically something you’ll put before or after someone’s name that in most cases is showing respect, politeness, etc. it’s basically courtesy titles or address terms. like using sir, ma’am, mr, mrs, etc. hope this explains that?

@Moon Jar I'm pretty sure she has said it in multiple videos of her. The clip with Jackson (the girls covering him with unbrellas) he wasn't mad because they were following or covering him with umbrellas (he was actually telling them to use it on themselves, worrying about them getting wet) he was mad because someone with a camera had pushed through people to get to the front to get pictures. When he stops toward the end he basically tells the guy that he shouldn't push women. Jackson is very caring, and a protective person. The look on his face to me shows he wanted to hit the guy.
@swagachugaming76774 жыл бұрын
The reason why the girl was yelling at the dancers is because she wants them to get really good opportunities. If you decide to be a kpop idol (group) then you have to be perfect and even if you don’t want to, you have to smile all for your fans. Its pretty sad but thats what they have to do to be korean pop artists . The mentor had to deal with the worst of this for 8 years.

8:37 honorifics is something you add the end or beginning of someone’s name to show respect. in korea they have: oppa, noona, hyung, unnie, sunbaenim etc. in japan they have: kun, chan, sama etc. in america they have: mr. mrs. ms. the clip where u asked the question, it’s a show called knowing brothers where everyone on the show pretends they’re in highschool and that they’re all around the same age, which means they don’t have to use honorifics (bc they’re friends, there’s no need to be formal). heechul is joking around that the special guests are being rude bc they’re still using honorifics which is against the show’s rules.

Honorifics is a more formal way of speaking, you'd use them for someone you don't really know or just met, a boss, significant others family etc. You eventually speak more casually once you know someone better or become close. It's not just with names, but also the way you speak in general as well. Basically they have two ways of speaking, for different situations or interacting with different people.
@MzFoRi34 жыл бұрын
Honorifics is a system in the language used to show respect to those older than you or with more experience in their field. They usually add an honorific word to their name whenever they address them, think of it as similar to “Mrs, or Mr”

I see Dee getting confused 😂😂 1. Some commenter was saying rude things to her fellow member and the same person went on her live. She went off like a queen. (G-IDLE’s Shuhua) 2. There are these people named sasaeng fans and they find out the idol’s personal phone number and call them over and over again. He was frustrated that they kept calling. (NCT/NCT 127 Mark and Jungwoo) 3. A man pushed one of the fans and he got angry because physical contact should never be done like that. (GOT7’s Jackson) 4. She was a mentor on a show and she was just giving critique to a couple trainees to clean up the choreography and overall performance. (BLACKPINK’s Lisa) 5. They were fighting with each other about their performance and ideas and it got pretty heated. Their leader mediated the conversation. (BTS’s Jin and V/Taehyung and Namjoon) 6. 😂 She was getting impatient! (RED VELVET’s Joy) 7. 🤣 He was very not satisfied with what he picked. (MONSTA X’s Shownu) 8. She was mad at how he was going really fast and pushing her. (EXID’s Hani) 9. 😂 It’s a game show full of comedians and the guests are often idols, actors or influential people. (SUPER JUNIOR’s Heechul) 10. They were playing the Whisper Challenge but instead of whispering they were yelling (often played that way in Korea) and got frustrated with each other 😂. (BLACKPINK’s Jennie and Rosé) 11. A member was messing around with another member during a VLIVE and he got annoyed. 😂 (ATEEZ’s Seonghwa and Wooyoung) 12. They were cooking but she got frustrated and began to roast the other member’s skills in cooking. (EXID’s Jeonghwa and Sulji) 13. They were playing a game on a game show but they got frustrated with another team player. 😂 (GIRL’S GENERATION’s Yoona and Sooyoung) 14. They were playing Rock Paper Scissors and she lost 😂 (MAMAMOO’s Wheein) 15. They were making jokes about her and she got annoyed. (Also MAMAMOO’s Wheein) 16. They broke out into a fight due to competitiveness. (SEVENTEEN)

Honorifics is a title or word implying or expressing high status, politeness, or respect. In South Korea honorifics are used for people who are older even if it's by months or years. If namjoon is older than jimin, jimin being younger than namjoon ,has to call him HYUNG. hyung is use by younger men towards a male older. It means older brother or friend, it's to show respect. If a female is talking to a man friend older than her she can call him oppa. If a man talks to or about a female older than him, he calls her Noona. If a woman talks to another female older than her, the younger female refers to the older female as UNNIE. In South Korea honorifics are used to show respect and if u dont use it than u can be seen as disrespectful. Unless u are foriegn like american or European and are unaware of the use of honorifics, many koreans will understand that and will let it slide. But if u know korean and the culture but dont use the proper title towards someone, it ain't nice. In kpop award shows you will see many groups bowing as others pass by them to show respect as well. Kpop fans who arent korean had to learn much of the korean culture like bowing and honorifics so that we can atleast be as respectful as we can to their culture. I am a female and you Dee are older than me so I would call you unnie. If Namjoon is older than you, as a female younger than him you refer to him as oppa. There is more to it but that's example of the basics. It has nothing to do with class when using honorifics, it's just something korea does that shows respect towards someone older or higher status maybe job or seniority in a business and such.
