It's not love at all. Those fans are entitled, obsessive, and controlling. And sadly, the industry kind of lets them get away with it. Why? Because obsessive fans bring in money. So, the industry gives the fans VIP access to their idols and grooms their artists to be the perfect boyfriends and girlfriends, act innocent, and put their fans first no matter how badly they're treated. They basically don't have a voice. What you see Doja Cat doing today, hating on her fans and shit, that kind of thing would not be possible in South Korea.

I always think of the airport video of Han Jisung from Stray kids. It had been widely known that he had severe anxiety for a while. And they got mobbed at the airport with basically no security. He ended up getting shoved and fell on the ground, landing on his elbow and losing his jacket. There's video of it. You can see him crying and holding his arm and a security guard returns his jacket to him by throwing it over him. It's so freaking upsetting. I know Felix (from the same group) also got knocked over at least twice with there being videos of that too. From what I know, now that Skz is more popular they have way better security but that honestly pisses me off more. They shouldn't have to have success to "earn" basic protection. Not to mention the whole waiting for artists at the airport shouldn't even be a thing.

Some of the kpop fans of groups I've had an issue with ever since my daughter has shown me things...the sense of entitlement is nuts... she's even shown me things were some idols have their homes & hotel rooms broken into which is totally insane to me... I don't understand the over involvement in their lives and the way that some think the idols are their personal possession... I feel so much empathy for all of them (the idols)

The last one is Baekhyun from Exo, for that clip there have been different interpretations so I'm not sure what actually happened. But there was this one time a fan called his phone at 4 in the morning and told him that he should stop playing around with his fellow member. He handled it so well, considering how rude she was, and she's the one who even posted the phone call hoping for pity

I don’t know if anyone said this, but if you see a fan with a huge camera lens, they're a fansite = someone who makes money by selling photos of idols. Like a paparazzi. They don't care about the idols or music at all, it's all about themselves becoming rich and famous. They only pretend to be fans. And then there's what they call sasaeng, which is someone who's seriously delulu, stalking idols and such. Some of these so called fans, are very rich so they pay for information, invitations to events, and they think they're entitled to everything. It's sad that idols are told to put up with this kind of behaviour. They're humans and should be treated with respect, like everyone else.

Honestly and realistically most of the fans who are crazy about dating or obsessive to this extent are Korean kpop Stan’s. I think it’s a cultural thing,while over here in the west Artist stand independent and do whatever they want in Korea or Asia the artist are taught to serve their fans no matter what.This causes the fans to become entitled.

I just feel really sorry for idols. Such situations get stuck in their minds and trigger fears. Some are strong enough to suppress it more and more at some point and then there are enough who can't mentally process it at all. People who do such things and call themselves "fans" are no fans to me, because fans know the groups they follow and what such people sometimes do is far beyond the red line. Idols are people like you and me. Idols go to the toilet like everyone else. They have red blood like all of us. Pretending that they are emotionless objects and are just there to be looked at and that you can do whatever you want with them is a fallacy.

Not gonna 🧢 NOT GONNA 🧢. I'd like if some of the airport "fans" got a punch or two. Lately when any member of BTS (and I'm sure other bands) came back "fans" were an ACTUAL danger to the singer. One of the last times Jungkook came back he almost tripped twice, he actually tried to ask fans to stay back and he had A BUNCH OF BODYGUARDS, still watching the whole thing was anxiety generating to ME, so imagine how Jungkook must have felt ... like it's crazy scary!

these werent even the craziest incidents, fans have sent letters with period blood, laced gifts with poison, put cameras in teddy bears(theyre not really allowed to give gifts anymore). theyve snuck into their houses (exo/nct looked up from their bed and a fan was in their ceiling). They once got an identical bus to exo's so that the members would mistaken it and enter, they almost got away with it till exo's manager noticed. There's so many horrible instances that I could continue naming. Some idols do fight back, one of my favourite kpop videos is of when a crazy fan (they call them sasaengs) got into TVXQ Changmin's taxi and he DRAGGED her ass out, baekhyun is also known for no longer taking nonsense from them. you should watch a compilation of them fighting back, so satisfying.
