Dear fellow kpop fans. Remember the anger you felt at the racist comments people made when you told them you liked kpop? Remember the anger felt seeing how western media treated kpop groups? Remember the anger you felt seeing the racism against Asians during the Coronavirus? Remember standing up to racism in these moments? Time to have that same energy for black people. Black kpop fans were doing the same things you were doing so it's our turn to help and stand up for them. If you don't have the same anger now then you're part of the problem. I don't doubt that the majority of you feel the same way but for those who don't, it is time to start. I know we can't do everything but doing one thing is better than doing nothing. Posting about it on social media is a start but it isn't enough. The kpop community has done so well on standing up to racism online, crashing apps and websites with fancams is my personal favourite, but our job isn't done. If you live in America texting and calling will not take a long time. Those who don't, signing petitions take less than 30 seconds. You can't pick and choose when to stand up to racism.
