with all due respect bc I LOVED spica so much, they did not have the personalities to be idols. they would have made a great indie group but they were too offbeat and genuine to make it in the idol market

In this case, it'd be following trends and such. There'll be times when we deviate, but on a larger scale, there's very little difference. In South Korea, it's probably more prominent than in many other countries, because it's so homogenous. Of course, things have changed a bit in the recent years, as people seem to have become a bit more individualistic, likely due to international influence.
