I was literally about to comment the same thing! Haha I'm new to the group too but yeah, this whole thing is practical (aside from that transition moment). If you want, there is their choreography/practice video that shows just big the scale is (it's can be found onInside Seventeen Super)

One of the reasons I really like Seventeen is that they maintain their colours in all their music, they don't try to force themselves to create music that is too American or European. Even though they knew they were quite famous there, most groups started making music with western nuances for the growing number of fans. but Seventeen remains with their colors from before, even their music still uses a lot of Korean and also makes them more special. Maybe some people will have difficulty understanding the meaning of their songs if they don't use translations, but whatever language they use, listeners can still enjoy their music.

- The first guy with the mullet whom you really like is our leader, S.coups and he is also the oldest. - Second guy with full black mullet who showed up after the transition is The8, he actually injured his collarbone during this MV filming which is why he does not have that much of a line. - Their age ranges from 1995 to 1999 and there are 13 members. - They have 3 units (hiphop, performance and vocal) and each unit has it's own leader. S.coups is the general leader and the leader of the hiphop unit, Hoshi in the performance and Woozi in the vocal. Each unit also released their own song. - The song reference is the Monkey King Sun Wukong from the Chinese novel Journey to the West and Son Goku from the Japanese anime series Dragon Ball Z hence the lyrics at the end of the song "this is a cartoon's credit song". The song's Korean title Sonogong refers to both characters. - The building in the MV is actually a real abandoned building and they have 250 dancers on this video. - Darumdarimda is an onomatopoeia for a song that's stuck in your head.

You covered a lot of ground ❤ so I'll just add that the video was filmed outside in early spring. Br-r-r-r-r. The crew added the new front, the fire walls and wired the whole building for the light show. I'm so glad you decided to dive deeper into Seventeen. You picked the right group. These young men are talent-plus. Their work ethic is amazing and they are so committed to each other and their fans, Carats.💎 When I first started exploring Kpop it was incredible to me that Korea has such a different way of becoming who they are musically. Most trained for 3-4 years before they even debuted. They were teen-agers going to high school when they began their training! No one has left the group or been added and they are in their 10th year. Please react to Seventeen on Dingo Killing Voice. And I'll list a few of my favorites: Call Call Call Home;run World Rock with You God of Music Thanks Headliner Left & Right Ima--Even if the World Ends Tomorrow

Also, don't feel intimidated because of their fashion sense or how well groomed they are. They have a TEAM of stylists for them for every video, photo shoot, appearance, music show--clothing stylists, hair, and makeup, fitness trainers, plus managerS! Especially SEVENTEEN, a manager for every 3 of them. If you had all that you'd look like that too. They also have their own variety/comedy show, Going Seventeen, that comes on pretty much every week. On there, we've seen them camping, drunk, just waking up hair EVERYWHERE, that muscular super Hollywood lead actor looking one in the front--on one we caught him about to pick his nose because he forgot the cameraman was following him! They're just real guys who just happen to have really good skin care, a TEAM of people behind them, and their talents that they put in countless hours to build together.❤

Seventeen has been around since 2015, right now the oldest is 29 and the youngest is 25. There are 13 of them, has 3 subunits (hiphop, vocal, performance) in 1 group. That’s why they’re Seventeen (13 + 3 + 1 = 17) The one you like most in the video is actually the leader, S.Coups. Sonogong is the Monkey King from a Chinese novel, Journey to the West. Which is the inspiration to Dragon Ball Z. Hence the last line “This is the cartoon’s ending/credit song”

There's no CGI people in this MV! All the dancers were real. There were the 13 members, 28 main backup dancers, and 200 sub backup dancers, so 241 of them in the MV. 😲 Also, the background building is real too, its an old abandoned hotel in Korea, that they dressed and lit to look like this! 🤗

I'm new to the group so I'm discovering alot of their videos and one of the best things, to me, is their videos tend to be fun. Like you can tell they're having fun with it and they want their viewers, but mostly their fans, to just enjoy it. You can REALLY see this with their "special" videos such as when they swap roles/lines (such as Pretty U or Left & Right) or if it's unofficial (such as Snap Shoot or Holiday which was actually filmed & directed by two of the nembers). They also have versions that are choreography focused (such as Maestro). *In case I was confusing, they have an official video AND a choreography focused video for Maestro* Even their more emotional, serious songs such as FML shows a caring between the members. Oh! God of Music may be a good one to react to. It's another one that I think captures their fun and just enjoyment of music & each other.

OMG I hope you continue reacting to Seventeen! Their discography is so diverse, they're self producing, their vocals are amazing, their dancing is incredibly synchronized; these boys are truly so talented, they're worth it! Everyone seems to have already answered all of your questions, so I'll just leave that to them lol. So what I will do instead is recommend a few songs of theirs that are my favorites: Rock With You, Maestro, God of Music, Adore U (this was their debut song, it's fun seeing how much they've grown since then), Hot, and HOME;RUN! But truthfully you at some point would want to listen to all of their songs, so any order you choose will be totally fine! Slip into the diamond life 💎✨️

Well, you picked the right group. Seventeen has a mountain of talent and 130+ songs. And yes, it's a grand rabbit hole. I left a long comment for Maestro so I'll just give you a few next steps: Seventeen Dingo Killing Voice. A recent mv--God of Music. Oh, one more thing I find amazing in Korean and some other Asian cultures. The kids audition for agencies and if chosen they commit to rigorus training---most of them 4+ years before even debuting. Your favorite, Scoups trained for 6 years! That kind of thing wouldn't fly here in the USA. Well anyway, welcome.

You mentioned how it's alot of people and I think everyone thinks that initially (and it is; it's 13 members) but then once you get to know them or see them perform, it just works so well and it's almost like HOW?! haha They all balance each other and they're known for their synochronization. As a newbie, I bet you wouldn't be able to tell who is the leader or the maknae(youngest) without being told (or maybe that's just me haha. I wish I could've had the chance to try to guess who was who). This group just defies norms or expectations.

You mentioning how this is a hype song reminded that this song is actually a pair with the song F*ck My Life. FML is kinda about how life can weigh you down and make you feel dumb and like "why can't I be the hero of my story" and Super is like I *AM* the hero of my story (like Son Oh Gong) and I got my team & my crew and we can & have perserved.

13 members in total. They also have 3 subunits - Vocal unit - Performance unit - Hiphop unit 13 members plus 3 units plus 1 team equals 17 😊 The leader is S. Coups (pronounced Coops) he's the one you liked with the long hair. He's also the leader of the Hip-hop unit since each unit has a leader. The leaders also have their own songs. They debuted very young in 2015. And trained for a few years prior to debuting. There's no CGI. About 250 dancers were used. The set is real too. This song is called Sonogong in Korean. That's that Korean name for Son Goku (Dragonball Z). They are self-produced. Write, produce and compose their own music. One of the members is their main lyricist and producer but they all contribute to lyrics and one member contributes to choreography. They have many different genres but it still sounds very Seventeen, which we love.

ok lol i just actually finished the video cause i had a meeting in between BUT to answer some of ur questions: - u counted 12 initially then it became 13 on the last part of the video because The8 was injured during this era and could only perform during the 2nd chorus - the lyrics are somewhat an ode to Dragonball Z and the Chinese Myth Sun Wukong. it was heavily inspired by those two. "hero's true colors like this" "pull up on my flying cloud" "rise up to the sky, power pole" "this is the cartoon's credit song" were all made to align well with DBZ - the choreography where they point to their forehead is DBZ too, and if you look at the backup dancers, the choreograph is trying to show the story of DBZ - The8 and Jun are the Chinese members of the team. if you listen to The8's part (2nd chorus) you can hear him sing "Feels like I turned in to Sun Wukong" which was kept because it's artistically genius and aligned to the theme they were going for! - the logo says SONOGONG in Korean (손오공) ! i think it was made by the production team they worked with for this album. Super is one of the title tracks in FML album. the album has a double-title track, the other being FML, and still - as they are geniuses - there are lyrics in FML that connect Super. Super is the track that hypes you. FML is the track that comforts you when you've been pushing to hard, tells you to breathe, and then move when you can. hope that helps !!!! (also the album for this won the 2023 MAMA Awards Album of the Year - their first Daesang or Grand Award. you can listen to it in its entirety as a starter and hear the different units!)

The guy you liked is called S.Coups. His real name is Choi Seungcheol. He is the leader of Seventeen and he is one of the main rappers. Seventeen is called seventeen because there are 13 members, 3 sub-units, and 1 team. 13 + 3 + 1 = 17. The three sub units are Vocal(singing), performance(dancd), and Hip hop(rap). All members do all of them, but they each specialize in one of those three things. They even have some songs that are from the Vocal unit, performance unit, and Hip hop unit. In Korean this song is called Sonogong and they made it Super in english, but Sonogong does not actually translate to English. Sonogong is the Korean name for Sun Wukong, who is a Chinese literary and religious figure. Sun wukong is also known as the monkey king and he is a character in the classical Chinese novel Journey to the west. Goku from dragon ball is also inspired by this character. This song references Sun waking and goku, and it might be called super because of dragon ball super. In the song they talk about power poles, flying on clouds, and space and worlds, which are references to sun waking and goku. At the end of the song they say this is the manhua's ending song as a reference to how the song relates to Dragon Ball. I would recommend you to listen to Rock With You, _World, Don't Wanna Cry, and Left and Right. You might like them based on what you said you liked. Rock with you is a bit more of a hype love song, _World is a more chill love song, Don't wanna cry is a more emotional love song about losing someone you love and it is EDM, and left and right is not a love song, but it is pretty chill and it is a little similar to love, money, fame in terms of vibes.

Okay to give you some answers: - there was no CGI used in the video, set is real and people are real - they had 228 backup dancers! - the guy with a long mullet (the rapper in white outfit, whose part you replayed) is S.Coups, he is the leader of seventeen - seventeen has 13 members, you counted 12 in that shot because The8 (Minghao, the guy at 10:03) was not present in all of the scenes in the mv due to an injury - to explain the name of 'seventeen' - seventeen has 13 members + the group has three units (Hiphop Unit, Vocal Unit and Performance Unit) + they are one team = 13 + 3 +1 = 17
