No one is born ugly. We just live in a judgemental world -RM So, he says in the very beginning that all of his video which have no relation with k pop, people always commented about k pop so he decided to make this video. He says that he was not interested in any kind of pop or k pop since he was more interested in classical music. He says that he had no idea of k pop nor k drama. So it took him 200hrs to study about them. As all music are different from one another he says that he watches several video of both k drama n k-pop. He says that he won't support k pop on all side just for some views n likes, he would take k pop side in some cases n not in some other. He later says about the dark side of the k pop world. The idols where treated with very less amount of food because of their health and due to this reason many idols fainted in the stage. He say about how crazy the South Korean people where for their visual. He says that South Kore is known as the plastic surgery state of the world. He says about our angle who passed away a few months a ago about Sulli n Goo Hara ( i personally cry still now for Sulli 😭) . My personal opinion : Why the hell people hate changes. Sulli was just being herself until the world start judging her bad. Just for dating n not wearing bra ( because she knew wearing bra was tide n also effects the digestive system) she just wanted to be free and she didn't even cross any line. If i m correct their is a no bra day in China, my friend told me. I still don't understand why am i a fan of her after she passed . N why the hell people hated her when she was alive and y loved her after she can't receive anymore. I still cry for her hearing her song Goblin and on the moon. Her last song Goblin give message she was in stress please go and watch the song. Please don't hurt anyone's emotions If u don't like it just ignore it She is not a Goddess she aslo fells the pain. i have to say, it's pretty impressive how you managed to cover such sensitive topics about the korean entertainment industry with just 3 months of research! kpop itself is pretty much everything but just a music genre. seeing how some of the groups and music or even individual idols talk about sensitive topics like bullying, misogyni, self love and their struggles as a person relating to the korean pop industry. i'd say fans also play a vital role in how the industry is right now with the way they react to situations as trivial as dating. member of the 4th generation kpop group le sserafim, huh yunjin, talks about how kpop idols are treated like fantasy dolls by fans in her song, i≠doll. she addresses that fans themselves make it worse for idols to state their opinions or just be themselves infront of the cameras like other celebrities do and how locals start calling these idols sick names when they do or say something problematic or even just say anything that offends them. the lyrics "I'm a pretty girl, all I'm good at is my looks Call me a selfish bitch, maybe I want to be one I'm more than just your pretty face You wouldn't know Yesterday, you said I looked like a doll Today, you called me a bitch When all they see is vanity They pick apart my body And throw the rest away" addresses this perfectly. even in the song yunjin wrote for her group, 'eve, psyche & the bluebeard's wife", she talks about how idols have to maintain an image infront of the camera and how they have to pretend to be happy all the time even of they're having a hard life off camera. these fans promote this idea that a 'loyal idol' never complaints about their lives and calls their fans out for the hate they receive cause at the end of the day, they have to maintain this image of theirs that they're the kindest people to ever set foot on eart when in reality they can be literal criminals. fanfictions create this illusion for these folks that they have a chance to date their idols when there's a high chance that they're already seeing someone. what you said about the slave contract is factually true. idols have to follow everything the company says and if they don't they're told to leave the industry, some of these rules that idols need to follow are - no dating (not allowed even though you're old enough to do so), no tattoos (idols have to maintain an innocent image), no driving (this is a rule for all of the idols under yg or the big 3 companies) and so on. *fans don't treat idols like humans, but more like their little fantasy dolls.*

A pretty well made video. While I consider myself a thorough kpop and kdrama fan, I agree with everything you said. I am glad that instead of just attacking kpop idols or BTS about their music style or industry culture(over which they have no control), you were more detailed in your opinions and backed them up nicely. Tbh I just think sometimes kpop culture comes way too much under fire for no reason with people calling it shallow and whatnot. While the industry has its issues, musically I think people should just leave others to enjoy what they like. They often forget how hard working these idols are and almost whatever goes on in the industry is a business construct. Also, I hate that people generalise that kpop fandoms are toxic when it is a very small percentage of the fandom that just makes more noise online. Many fans like me have moved on from social media and just enjoy the music and content we get directly from the artists.

About toxic fans yes there are many toxic fans for every group. When i started looking into kpop i came across the weirdest people and most immature and childish ones but on the other hand there are 80% nice and mature people who are actually good. They are mostly silent fans who are happy within their own fandom and I totally found peace and fun amongst them. That's why I'm attached to every fandom i got into. Just because of those 20% toxic fans i can't say that the whole fandom is bad.

The problem is these kids shouldn't have gotten so much into social media , last time a 9 yro got offended and commented haters mom's something , like fr I looked at her account and she hasn't even crossed 10 . And it's not 20% it's more , the actual fans listen to music and don't attack troll comment sections all day . In college last yr I remember 3. Of my friends ig , we were talking about music, one of my friend brought up bts and cracked some joke about 3 layers of plastic , a group of girls were behind us and one of them slapped him , that's disrespectful , he did not do anything as he knows manners , but the girl just walked away after! No regret at all

glad you covered the issues. being on stan twitter (i stan an indian artist) i've seen many indian BTS armies appreciating their indian artists. i loved it. but on the other side there are many random people who keep thrashing their own country artist by comparing them with internationally recognised artists. they just literally deny our own country talent and so much into WHAT IS ON TRENDING. wanna say - BE LOYAL AND GRATEFUL TO YOUR OWN COUNTRY FIRST.

As a BTS fan I totally agree with everything u said. Just because K-pop is rich in music, visuals etc. It doesn't mean that it's all perfect. I do know that it has its dark side too. That's why I Stan BTS because they r not just Korean band . They r beyond that. I really appreciate your way of explaining. I always like how u explain things in the best way possible. Btw yess that toxic fans r children n very stupid.

exactly i read the true beauty webtoon and felt so bad for the artists ..they have to leave their families and get to live such a hectic lifestyle ...which is so diff.. from the life we assume they live is ...we must understand and give them privacy ..instead of just lashing out ourselves on their little mistakes like common they are also humans .. and every human can do some mistakes .. lets respect our idols and not do such disgusting things ... which makes us put down their reputation .. borahae
