It's not necessarily a bad trait but you only usually see this from top celebrities which is why it may come off as unnecessary seeing it from someone at this level. He seems like one of those people where if they see you drop something and even though you immediately try to pick it up they would still rush in to pick it up for you while maintaining eye contact. =P
