I'll be honest, I actually started enjoying rap in k-pop because of Jooheon from Monsta X. His passion is through the roof and he takes it to a whole new level, and I'm not surprised that other idols say they look up to him a lot. He doesn't change his voice to become more high pitched, or deeper, or drags his words like certain idols do, which I'm *not* against obviously because each person has their own voice color, but that shows true talent because there are no crutches to lean on, just one's natural voice.

I watched their Gambler and Love Killer MVs and ran to my best friend screaming. Up to that point Kpop annoyed me. BTS was overplayed and hyped up in the USA and I was tired of hearing them. I thought it was going to be another PSY era. So finding them made me so happy to know BTS's US songs were outliers in the Kpop industry. (Dont get me wrong, they are good, and I love some of their songs before their blow up fame).
