Oh, and for Until The End of Time he thought about how part of growing up is realizing that your parents won't always be there for you and one day you'll have to learn to live without them. And many more .... Did that make sense? 😭

Fun fact about Boy Comics! The korean title is Sonyeon Manhwa, which is their version of shonen manga, aka comics marketed at young and teen boys. Thus the somewhat silly translated title Boy Comics lol. And in sonyeon manhwa, a common trope in school-set ones is the race for the cake, usually used for a bit of comic relief where a character tries to get the last piece of cake on the rare days when the cafeteria serves it. Here they chose strawberry cake as a nod to XH's first viral hit song. For iNstead, Yoon Dohyun is the leader and vocalist for YB, a legendary korean rock band. You should watch the behind recording vid they did w/ him. They do a cover of one of his songs for him, he sings some of Strawberry Cake with them, and is just such a proud papa figure to them. When they did their last concert series for this single, he made a surprise appearance on stage for one of the shows (i think they might have a live clip of it on their channel). He even invited them to feature on YB's next album which is supposed to be pretty heavy. Ok, live performance recs! First, quick note on music show performances: they almost never get to actually play their instruments live, as those shows charge bands as much as $30,000 extra just to have setup for live instruments, so even w/ their jyp backing they've only done a couple fully live performances on music shows. Their vocals however are always very live. I believe the channel Band Coded has a vid w/ more info on that and how bands are forced to hand sync in a lot of more kpop-focused venues. For Pluto, you absolutely HAVE to check out the one they did for NPOP. It's so good it still gives me chills every time I watch it. For some more basking in their insane vocals, Jungsu and Jooyeon did an ep of Rising Voice on the Dingo yt channel that is a must watch. For their first mini album they actually released live performances for all the songs, so those are worth checking out too (Test Me, Strawberry Cake, Knock Down, Sucker Punch, Pirates). There is a live performance of Good Enough that they did for Hello82 that will make you cry all over again, fair warning. I don't think you've reacted to these yet, but some of my fav songs and live performances they've done were Undefined on the Montbest channel and No Matter live clip on their xh channel. For something super fun, they did Night Of The Fireworks on KBS CoolFM and they just look like they're having a blast doing it. If you react to these you will have to HEAVILY obscure them to avoid a copyright strike, but even if you don't react to them I super highly recommend that you also watch all 3 of their performances on Immortal Songs. It's a casual competition show that's been going for like 20 years where each ep has either a theme or features a specific legendary korean singer/band/idol group and a bunch of current performers are brought on to do covers of the legend's songs or that fit the theme. XH got invited to perform less than a year after their debut, which is pretty impressive, and have been invited back every year since. They haven't won an ep yet, which imo is highway robbery but then again I'm extremely biased lol. I believe there's a compilation video that has all 3 of their Immortal Songs performances in 1 video. Their most recent one they did less than 24 hours after doing a concert in Manila, and they still absolutely killed it. Plus, the featured legendary artist was Kim Kyungho who is one of Jooyeon's personal heroes. He was absolutely adorable the whole ep w/ how excited he was to meet his idol.

dreaming girl crying is so real btw ugh if you watch other live performances of it, the members often get emotional as well and i think that's really cool because it shows that they are passionate abt the music they make and they can relate to it on some level! also, i absolutely love pluto!! its my favorite song from xh i would love to see it live someday. on another note, gaon's outfit in the mv made me laugh like its so silly but the song is so serious 😭 im not a huge ballad enjoyer but i LOVE until the end of time so much i swear it breaks me every time i listen to it, its just so meaningful 😢 final thing: the chokehold the instead mv has on me is insane like i saw jooyeon looking like that and never recovered. everyone looked sooo amazing 🫠

Pluto is one of my favourite Xdinary Hero songs. These guys are so underrated. I was at a Stray Kids concert recently and they always show a video of all the JYP artists and I was talking to the people near me and they hadn't heard of them. but my honest personal recommendation is to watch npop live version because it's so so so outstanding!!! i don't remember but guess the tittle is xdinary heroes 'pluto' npop ep.06 231110.... there's also my small funny story about this live stage because i was in the crowd and actually watched the recording live. they did this pre-recording before comeback so for all people on the video this was a surprisingly first time hearing pluto and break the brake. and i also high-fived them many times because was standing by the stairs. for me, this is one of the most memorable moments in my life 💔 the performance was so magically atmospheric because of the confetti and live vocals ❤️‍🩹

Loved your reaction! Both dreaming girl and until the end of time get the tears flowing for me too! I would totally reccomend you do a part just for their covers. I know you've already seen the hellevator cover, but tomboy (originally by g-idle), Zombie (originally by day6), and welcome to the black parade (MCR) are all ICONIC covers by them and especially the tomboy cover with jooyeon... you won't quite understand until you've seen it. If we're talking live performances, the pluto live is obviously a favorite of mine, jooyeon's adlibs, o.de's stage presence... just like everything about pluto lives. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i4C9p5eNg5qCm6Msi=jGClF_SVd4wdXKAu here's the link to my favorite of the pluto lives, as it has a circular stage and just the way they walk in and the intro of it is so satisfying and gunil's shirt is a force to be reckoned with. I also think that the it's live for haircut is a big winner for me, i just think that o.de in that video, with his wacky hair, is so cool, especially during the rap verse, and it's during the time when gaon and jooyeon have very similar hair and its so fun to see.. Short comment today bc I don't feel well, but thanks for the video! "iNSTEAD!" is metal, not so much punk rock. I'm not versed enough to know exactly which subgenre. The screams in metal are different from the genre of screamo, though you do obviously hear screaming in screamo XD genres are hard. The visual aesthetics are very definitively along the lines of glam metal from the 70s. Also, you've seen Huening Kai's Lee Mujin service, right? One of the songs he sang there was "Butterfly" by YB, so you have actually heard one of Yoon Do Hyun's songs--just not by him. It's a very popular song in Korea; lots of idols have covered it. One of my favorite covers is by Dreamcatcher's Siyeon in her YB medley video. If you enjoy rock in Kpop, have you ever listened to Dreamcatcher? You might enjoy them.

Although some people can be very toxic, as I have experienced with past ratings, I find it the best way to express how much I enjoyed a song or music video. I hope that people will understand what I mean when I say pros and cons of them and my ratings can change over time if I learn about a song or maybe seeing a live performance changes it etc. ❤
