On stsge the idols wear whitening makeup too, so simply saying that she didn't appear whitewashed means absolutely nothing. As she easily still had makeup on. Almost all of these apparent 'bare-faced' photos you've seen, aren't actually bare faced. There are some, but not many. Agencies care about their idols 'perfect' reputation. They also like to give fans unrealistic expectations of beauty they can't actually achieve to make their idols seem like this 'perfect' person, which no one is. There are small simple differences you can see when she actually has no makeup on, or light makeup, you can tell here she still has eye makeup on, as no one's eye's naturally have an eyeliner look to them, regardless of eye shape. Her eyebrows don't naturally look like that, she has very light and sparse eye brows naturally, so it's plain obvious that she has eyebrows makeup on here, as well as lip makeup, which is easy enough to understand so I won't bother. This was national television, that's different to a photo or KZbin, their faces are always edited on the prior two, but you can't on television, so there is no chance you'll ever see an idol go bare faced there. If you still disagree, you're just trying to convince yourself and feeding into unrealistic standards of beauty, which is what the agencies were aiming for.

there's nude makeup, waterproof makeup & video editing. idols have to look their best and their staff will do everything possible for that. so i doubt we would ever see anyone w/o any makeup

no hate!! For Jennie, if you look carefully their is no makeup on. Her lips aren’t colored and are natural. If you compare her pre debut photos and photos of her without makeup and the encore bareface it would match. Also if you compare the encore to when she actually puts makeup you can see the makeup difference but her overalls are still the same.

​​@@karrotnelleHer lips were looking a bit glossy In an interview she said that she thought bp was done so she removed the make up but someone told her they have to go back on stage so she and some other staff members did some quick things like foundation, contouring, lip gloss Eye makeup usually takes a lot of time so maybe that's why they skipped it And I don't think she had any plastic surgery besides lip filler And that eye surgery due to some medical issues (her one eye is smaller than the other one)
