from Queendom Season one "Put it straight (Nightmare Version)" is really good and its a B-side that was never a MV so its something New for most people. and so much emotion in the performance.

You DEF need to see Queendom Season 1 (especially (G)I-DLE's & Mamamoo's performances). "Put It Straight (Nightmare Version)" the Queendom stage & also their Halloween Dance Performance are both top tier amazing. Legitimately scary & yet darkly beautiful. Probably my favorite of all their live performances or performance videos.

In fact even if the title is "Tomboy" it is not a concept that is refering to western representation of tomboys The concept is more about saying f*ck to those who categorize them as feminine creature/barbies/dolls. Saying "Your a woman, you should do this and that", "You can't do this and that", "You can't speak as you want it is not how gril behave" With this song they are saying that they are how they want to be and no one would change that "Neither man nor woman - Just I-DLE" on the outro, just to remind everyone that they want to be recognized for there work, for what they are and what they do without being categorized as girl idol or a girl group, but rather as Idols without gender (That's why the (G) from (G)I-DLE is gone, because it means "girl") And for the "Just me loving Tomboy" they are in fact implicing: "Just me loving myself for who I am", with my default and not being the girl everyone want me to be Anyway thanks for your reaction and I hope you will support the girl, after that hell of a year they need our love and support !

I like that you said the ex's name as tattoo on toe is good wordplay! Sooooo many people don't get it. My interpertation was that if your ex's name is tattooed on your toe, you are stepping on them all day. LOL I don't think Soyeon's rap has a reference to the song Ping Pong, like a lot of people seem to think (and I know you didn't bring that up, but am I because her rap is being dragged on places like Reddit and Twitter), partly because on the m/v behind the scenes video Soyeon said that she has been working on the album for over a year... so it's very, very possible that the song Ping Pong came out well after she wrote this one. Instead, ping pong is probably a reference to going back and forth. So, it turns it into: I don't want to play this back and forth with you, my time is better wasted on tick tock. lol Also in the rap, the word Sex is censored to "eh"... So the line becomes "I like to sex on drinking whiskey" aka I like drunk sex (and whiskey is generally regarded as a masculine drink)... gotta censor that because women definitely aren't allowed to like that at all. :/ All in all, it's a fantastic song celebrating being unladylike and owning it! Definitely happy to see someone enjoying it for the fun song that it is! :D

For the "Ping Pong" part that's what I understood too, and more precisely going back and forth in a confrontation There is also people thinking that the "Tik tok" verse is refering to the korean "Tiki Taka" (roughly transleted) which refer to two soccer players doing passes back and forth to goal which could be a reference to working together or making joke back and forth For the "Your mom raised you as a prince - But this is queendom, right?" it's a diss on the korean culture where boys are raised as prince litterally but girls are raised to be housewifes and girly The rest is totally a part on Soojin, her being the main dancer and probably the member Soyeon was the closest, and finally her allegations and it match very well the song, seens the whole point of Tomboy is to say that they are not doll, they are not perfect but they love who they are for what they are, and they shouldn't be gendered for their achievement etc... I can totally understand why some people didn't liked Soyeon's rap verse on Tomboy, it is clearly not gramatically correct, however it fits the song and the theme, and it is arguably good with a singing rap pace It is clearly not one of her stronger rap piece she wrote, but when you understand the meaning I personnally found it pretty strong They talked about "a taboo" during the whole song and Soyeon also does it in her rap part, no one speak about past member, but she showed that she cared about it She showed that even if Soojin isn't here she will not be forget at least for them
