I am awestruck in a good way. First time I hear about John Chowning. Inventor of FM audio synthesis! And ofc Suzanne Ciani! Soon it is winter time here in Finland and I put Seven Waves on the player, my essential skiing music for 30 years+

Hi Suzanne, This is just beautiful! I had an ensemble of "space" musicians, and we made music (using an old "Circle Surround" module to do live surround performances of old silent movies such as "The Lost World" and "Metropolis." Let's consider a new Synth Symphonic Orchestra for Space music. You could create and/or assign the different instruments for various performers, and your ideas could be for a chamber ensemble of multi-channel synthesists. The old could be blended with the new, of course. But it would be fun to work on a Chamber Orchestra of Synthesizers that includes Multi-channel percussion, Moog for Bass, Buchla for Wind, and Perhaps a Wind instrument (I know someone who sounds fab) in Multi-channel-- Perhaps A Buchla songbook for Synthetic Multi-Channel Chamber? Or 5 Buchlas? I don't know. What do you think? I called Don once and he said I couldn't afford his modules! --Lol. But, hey, he answered the phone. That was back in the 1990s, before the comeback of modular. They could start by simply recreating this work with a bunch of musicians. It's a simply beautiful piece. Thank you! Or a Whole 2 hour Symphonic Performance of S. Ciani? This is so inspirational! Wonderful. Keep going! You should sit in with Phil Lesh.
