I really like this stuff. It reminds me so much of Kali and other FMA styles. In fact, there is a technique called umbrella-6 in the Kali system that I study that looks remarkably similar to one of the techniques in this video. Really nice job!

@@boxing.ascetic That's great to hear about you adding some of my club work to your training, it will keep me inspired to do more 😊 I've met Kru Thod he's based around there. Very nice friendly guy and skilled to. Actually did a video with him on my channel a while back. I am quite interested in the various styles and like to meet different instructors to see different perspectives. Are you based in Bangkok?

Wow!! Great!! Awesome!! 가운데 나무판에 한글로 '합기도'라고 적혀있네요. 精(정), 神(신), 忠(충), 義(의), 禮(예), 信(신), 勇(용), 忍(인)이라고 한자로 적혀있네요.

I think Jedi Survivor took a little inspiration for the two saber style recently. The striking and stances are almost exactly like this sword style.

I've been wondering if there was historical cross-chatter between the cultures that gave rise to these drills, or if it's just that on a long enough timeline, does everyone come up with the same type of training to keep you alive...

Look into Thang Ta from Manipur. Also, traditional Chinese boxing arts use two swords as well.

Interesting how each encounter leads to body-to-body contact. The point of weapons is to avoid it.
Nice but pliz make vdos on systematic manner from basic strikes basic denfence body movemnet then forms and then their combat application

these martial arts survived but indian and sri lankan martial arts were banned and british people killed every master by shooting them they even had swords with 16 or more blades its like a whip ancient sri lankan swords are worth About 16000 usd they fight with bulls to increase their stamina ( 1 v 1 ) i mean buffaloes wild ones

Looks like a a serious lack of core and hip engagement, so I think this would lack cutting power. Lots of draw cuts though, is the style designed like that for a logical reason? Also some movements seem to leave you incredibly open for a counter, are those feints?

Avoid giving wings to tigers. In other words don't teach this to just anybody.
