The maximum speed we're authorised to use our rewinder is about 500-550 MPM and it's an old machine but with all it's guards and security barriers in it. This looks quite dangerous.

I ran 750cm trim at 3000mpm.. this is a joke and it looks dangerous.. no safety...It's amazing what they get away with in 3rd world countries.

My winder would run 7500 rpm with all the safety guarding in place. What’s going to happen when that roll jumps out of the nip? I’ve seen it happen.

@@joeybutler653 you can't get a blow out on this winder because it's solid shaft. Still a dangerous place to work. No one is wearing protective gear like boots, hearing protection, eye wear, etc... also you're right about there being no guards on any thing.

@@joeybutler653 The winder I ran had a maximum speed of 3400 meters of paper per minute (the speed at which the paper is going through the winder). The rpm (revolutions per minute) would adjust according to set diameter. The one I ran also had up to 770 centimeter trim.
