I love NEU! and I love Kraftwerk. This is heaven to me. RIP Florian Schneider.

I love the early work of Kraftwerk. Many underrate it including Ralf Hutter who will happily let you believe nothing was released before 1974. The best part is that he’s not even on this album!! Imagine Ruckzuck played live today,what a sound that would be 😃🎹🥁

A great NEU! album with Florian guesting on flute. I've always thought this should get an official release, perhaps as part of a genuinely complete NEU! box set, which sadly doesn't exist yet (though Gronlands attempt was very worthy) there are several other recordings of this era, but other than the Beat Club video none of them are of such quality as this, either musically or sonically, the live NEU! released privately on CD-R by one brief member of a live line up is of historical interest but this here is the best Live NEU! extant.

i found sometime ago a rare live Cd recording on sale of NEU! by Eberhard Kranemann (not the ones published by Dinger or rother) Kranemann was recruited as bass player, those recordings were from 1972...

No, Neu did not even existed when this was made. It is Kraftwerk, which at the time consisted of Florian, Klaus Dinger and Michael Rother.

Up until recently, I never knew Kraftwerk used to rock like that. Love how Florian plays the flute through FX making it sound like a hoarse Donald Duck lol

It sounds more like like Florian is making his flute sound like a wah-wah guitar.

Early Kraftwerk was so great to chill and relax to stoned. If they added robot vocals while continuing the techno krautrock direction, always wondered what that would of been like... This will always be my favorite Kraftwerk release🧘♂️✌️

It's really interesting to hear what's essentially the Nue! version of Ruckzuck. In fact, this piece is aninteresting way to track how different versions of early Kraftwerk compared - in addition to this and the better-known Rockpalast and Kraftwerk I versions of Ruckzuck, there's an even earlier one by Organization that was recorded live for German TV. All these can be found on KZbin.

It's fascinating to imagine what would have happened if it had been a surprise radio smash hit and they had decided to continue in that direction. We'd all be talking about the pioneering speed-metal band Kraftwerk. They would have shared bills with Hawkwind.

it sounds like the band black sabbath, well ralf was into black sabbath in the 1970's well before they went down the electronic music route. Kraftwer's Geiger Counter, references Balck Sabbath's song Iron Man, references Ozzy's band

The band has essentially disavowed their work before 1974's Autobahn. Which is a shame. Yes, that is when they created the sound that eventually defined them, but it's okay to have come from somewhere. Growth and change are good, too.

Actually, no member of today's (button-pressing) formation on Kraftwerk performed in this concert. It's from that time frame when Hutter left the band.

Saying that KRAFTWERK is the precursor and inspiration for todays' house and techno and dance music IS A BIG LAUGHTER !!! They are pretty shit musicians, who by accidents and after many years found some commercial tunes. Until then, they were just boring and nerds. I can imagine, they were surprised themselves of the sudden success of Autobahn, Radio activity, and even more Trans Europe Express. From then on they become a electronic disco band, making senseless pieces of worthless tunes, never hit the top of the charts, but sold sufficient albums to keep going, and get rich. The Model and also The Robots are their best compositions all times, however it's unfair to call them "songs". You can call KLAUS SCHULZE, and TANGRINE DREAM, EDGAR FROESE, also inspirators and even more, of some of todays electronic music, but I think it is not at all related, only the tehnology and isntruments are related. I can hardly find any or not at all any Kraftwerk, in todays dance or electronic music.
@HunterTechTen9 жыл бұрын
+Nieuws Anker Dude, just say it's not your style of music and move on. Also, saying that Kraftwerk did nothing for the way music is made today is like saying Star Wars did nothing for the movie industry. Just let the fans enjoy and no harm is done.
@alexalexin94916 жыл бұрын
They're no precursor, they're geniuses.
@finosuilleabhain77814 жыл бұрын
Yep, it must have come as a terrific shock to find themselves writing all these great tracks when all they wanted was to carry on making senseless pieces of worthless tunes. Anyway, hope you're better these days.
@johnarundell79514 жыл бұрын
According to your faultless logic (opinion), all of the hordes of today's house and techno and dance music creators and composers are confused, and apparently don't know who or what they were inspired by, so when they say that they were inspired by Kraftwerk they must be lying, obviously. Scheming no-good liars are the worst!
