@@bjornna7767 It should be noted that Chinese manufacturing can generally meet whatever standards you're willing to pay for. The problem is that we in the West have become so dependent on their lower end manufacturing (which wouldn't meet western work conditions/safety standards or fair wages) to get our Cheap Bling (not to mention the often sensitive technologies which are in direct conflict with our national security), to the extent that extracting ourselves from that mire will be incredibly difficult. (The US CHIPS Act is a start, and governments worldwide are finally taking some heed of warnings by security experts, but there's a long way to go...) It's great to see that Kraftwerk has so much support from the younger generations and they respect and appreciate just how good this group really is. In their heyday they were just classed as a bunch of geeks who didn't play real music and it only appealed to other geeks who were into electronics and computers...and now they have become absolute legends in their genre...I have listened to and watched them from the late 70s and could never have imagined that they would become so popular and have so much appeal to a wider audience especially here in 2014....it is brilliant!!.

They do, they just don't know it. Not much of the modern electronic dance music would exist if it wasn't for these guys. Sure, Tangerine Dream, Jarre et al also pioneered it, but they had quite a different approach which, I believe, wouldn't have triggered the dance music as much as Kraftwerk did.

I am but an old human now,,,, but l still believe that Kraftwerk is the greatest thing that ever happened to music.... It has so many qualities that are from such talented people,,,, no other bands can say that they were the first to reach such audacious and auspicious highs on the art form we call music today..., Yet the future isn't fully set yet,,, more musicians with this style will arise in the near and distant future, but they (Kraftwerk) started long ago the path for music to rise up over the tenuous direction of older styles of music often muddled with melancholy and bland generic pathways that lead to full unsatisfying music in so many ways and levels.... Okay this is why people such as myself needed Kraftwerk to begin with.... They really saved a lot of people out of their drab states when music devoid of thought and creativity came into mind. Kraftwerk's music and it's style was what a prince was to a toad...it wasn't the economy stupid,,,, it was the music that made all the difference in the lives of those who searched for better things and music went from being prince to KING.... okay 😂 RIP Florian you will always be remembered

Pointless comparison if you ask me. The Beatles are the first truly great pop-band and have had a huge influence on songwriting since the 1960s up til now, Kraftwerk were experimental geniuses and the most influential electronic pioneers of their time (although certainly not the only ones), they influenced every electronic genre since the late 1970s. The history of pop music would never have been the same without either of them, so it seems a bit useless to argue that because Kraftwerk are good, The Beatles must be bad. It doesn't work like that.

It is amazing how much rhetoric Kraftwerk packs into their music and performance while using such apolitical lyrics and imagery.

You end up in a cold room, dark and empty. Closed windows, locked doors. Your eyes have adapted to the small light that seeps into the holes of your curtains. You stand in the middle of the room and you have finally become that "nothing" you had seen in a strange and penetrating dream
