The install is done and she's finally boosted! In this video, Garrett will run through some of the tips and impressions of the Kraftwerks KRX Supercharger kit install process and give the install a difficulty rating. I love my KraftWerks Supercharger on my KRX 1000eS. Keep an eye on the Supercharger Drive Belt for the first while as it will need adjustment as the belt seats into the pullies. I have found that it is best to remove the belt cover and warm the engine up and then set the belt tension as the belt gets tighter when the base mount warms up due to heat expansion. I have found the best clutching for my car, and I soon will be posting a video pertaining to that. Also keep an eye out on the traction drive oil level as I had to add a vent tube to my reservoir and seal the dipstick vent because over rough terrain, I would lose oil out of the vented dipstick.

Great video which help detail the install process. Its been about a year since you have produced this video. How has your KRX work with the supercharger during this time? Any issues developed along the way? I noticed you had not used any of the Full Access ad ons (i.e. sheer pin) in the video. You just used the stock components that came with the supercharger? Any post implementation ad ons over the past year to improve the performance of you KRX with the supercharger?

Sweet. The way the pulley mounts on the end of the crankshaft, you would think that Kawasaki is planning for that...

Man sorry for asking non-stop questions. The step after the map sensor is to remove throttle body waste hoses and rote them to the drilled hole in the airbox. Mine doesnt have that hose at all. The area where the hoses connect is just capped off. Are the caps what I remove and run hose to the air box?

To hold the crank in place so it won’t turn while loosing and tightening the crank bolt. It’s key to not let your motor turn over. -Garrett

Garrett another great vid. I have a question based on a statement you made. Shock silencers, that you're adding to the rear. I'm still ruining stock shocks. As you know they can be very noisy at times. Kawasaki say it`s normal and not to do anything about the noise. My question , prior to you going with Shock Therapy were you able to get rid of the noise, will shock silencers help with the clanking noise of the stock shocks?

Yes, shock therapy helped with the noise, but I decided to add these silent rings as well. They would help you a ton with stock shocks. For me $25 bucks you can’t go wrong. I put a link in the description. -Garrett

Awesome videos from you guys as always, I’ll say this just my 2 cents. I had a krx loved the machine they are plush they handle great and doesn’t feel like I could destroy it if I wanted too. But was it under powered I don’t really feel that it was. Really that’s all that matters is if it’s faster than the next guy hell I had a guy want to race me on the road with a general and I said no need you’ll beat me. But in the trails or track your going to be pushing your machine to beat the krx I’m no pro but felt like it in that machine. My only complaint was it’s size its huge I mean big girl lol so I hear it’s the perfect trail machine I disagree I now own an x3 xds rr and have realized that’s the perfect machine for pretty much everything I do. It feels nimble and light through the trails it snaps your head with power but it takes me to this thing that I feel krx owners want but without spending your savings you are not going to get. If your riding dictates spending that money we’ll go ahead I can’t afford a hell cat so I bought an x3 haha, but I feel people need to just enjoy the machine for what it does as it was designed to do imagine the price tag on a krx with factory super charger you’ll be over 30k and still won’t out perform the competition so basically when’s enough enough. At the end of the day everyone has there preference but if your spending this money for this upgrade your just trying to hard to make something great out of an already great machine. Hears one more I have 195 ponies it’s not needed in the woods end of story but I’m a power nut so I had to get one and I love it.

Hey Jason thanks for your comment! I agree with some of what you said but also disagree. First we didn’t want to add the power to be faster then another machine. We added the power to make the KRX now one of the best all around machines in our opinion. You can crawl like crazy and now enjoy a day in the dunes with the added power. Totally agree with the tight trails and all that good stuff you mentioned. Pricing is getting crazy these days and it’s nuts what we spend. A lot of what we do is for the viewers as well to help them decide if they want to spend their hard earned money on these upgrades. 👍 -Garrett

I’m all for beefing these machine and seeing how they turn up it’s in the pocket book where I’m unsure is all I’m saying. I did love that krx so hoping you guys get the improvements you were looking for and she keeps ripping for the long haul because yea the prices are crazy for sure keep up the great videos. What the heck is up with those Dragy times?? My fastest 0-60 is 8.55 seconds. Slowest was 9.10 seconds. Stock 2020 KRX with just a VFJ stage 2 tune! Something don't make sense to me?? I thought COPS tune with RCOR weights ran around 8.57 seconds??? 🤷‍♂️

It depends on your area / elevation and I’m running 34s as well. My fastest time on stock tires was a 10.70 close to 2800 feet.

@@DerangedOffRoad I'm about a 1,000 feet lower & it was 58° outside. The KRX motor loves cooler temps. I was just surprised to see those times with a tune. I'm only 1.82 seconds behind that supercharger but it only cost me $250. That's a ton of bang for the buck vs a $5,000 supercharger that you have to install yourself or spend another $1,000 or so to have it installed. Another 1.82 seconds is definitely not worth the price tag. I think it's a colossal waste of money, but if your happy with it? That's all that matters! Team Green 💚🤘💚

Yes, we bought a COPS tune about 2k miles ago and now bought a DynoJet PV3. Kraftwerks sent us a new file to upload for this kit. So a PV3 is needed. 👍-Garrett

Tell me you don't know anything drag racing without telling me you don't know anything about drag racing. The two factors above play a part. Also many here have no idea that this is relevant. What you run if you copy this set up won't necessarily be what you run either. You will be faster, the same or slower depending on DA and elevation and driver skill variations. There is more to drag racing an auto then mashing the gas despite that popular ignorant mindset. These disclaimers should be stated about DA and elevation for your subscribers. When other folks run slower that copied your setup there will be some angry folks. It happens time and time again in the car scene. Ignorance is their own fault but it covers you. Before anyone wants to refute the DA and elevation difference understand I am a 35 year drag racing veteran. I have amassed over 15,000 passes at the drag strip, competed in the NMRA, NHRA and have won 20+ events. I am more than qualified to speak. This is something we monitor before and during racing events for those that don't know I would like to highlight I appreciate what DR offers here to the community but I see issues here. I am a subscriber. I'm not just a passer by talking trash. This video got a like and comment for the algorithm despite my criticism.
