Krajicek's game is great to watch, when he is healthy. Korda plays with much flare. Sampras game is lethal and efficient. They are my favorite players with one-handed backhand.

great victory obviously :-) what I will never understand is why a production team covering a tennis match ... soooo many times fail to show the handshake of the players at the end (!!)... it's such a great moment since all the emotions and feelings of the the players are condensed in exactly that moment. Relief, anger, frustration.. happiness.. respect for the other player.. etc.. it MUST be in the coverage dammit! :-)

Came here to see Krajicek's game from the baseline. Just saw serves and volleys, I guess that sums up his whole game

He was such a pretty boy i only notice now. Uniquely handsome really. With his shy boyish focus :p.

These players take less time to complete a game than It takes Nadal to complete his service routine.

PETE SAMPRAS IS A GREAT CHAMPION
@saheribrahim51244 жыл бұрын
richard kriajchek always believed that he can beat pet sampras , he was never afraid of him and he defeated him four consequetive times , if injuries did not attack him regularly he would have achieved more , he has a winning record over pete and a tied record to becker
@alexshah78603 жыл бұрын
Thats a great record to have, but doesn't mean much. There are so many different styles of games. He matched up well against these 2, but lost to many players who had strong return of serves.
@saheribrahim51243 жыл бұрын
@@alexshah7860 Pete Sampras at that time was almost impossible to beat
@alexshah78603 жыл бұрын
@@saheribrahim5124 Yes he was, but in comparison to Federer, Nadal and Djokovic he had a lot more losses to random players, especially at non Grand Slam events.

In 1996 Pete Sampras coach Tim gullikson passed away due to cancer & Sampras wasn't in a state of mind to play. Else Sampras would have decimated krajicek in a cakewalk finish. At his peak he was unbeatable. Even at his sub prime in year 2000 when he struggled most of season tournaments he defeated Krajicek convincingly at 2000 US Open quarter final
@randywatson3413 жыл бұрын
This match was the first of 4 in a row that Krajicek beat Sampras, and all of them were straight sets. For a few years he just had the formula to beat Pete. Not forever as Pete won their last two matchups

@bimbisarsingh34093 жыл бұрын
@@robertkirya3006 It's 6-4. Krajicek lead. And one can consider it as mere statistical flukes... U see final 2 matches of Sampras vs Krajicek, where pistol pete convincingly beat Richard without any much trouble. Krajicek is no doubt a talented player but not as consistent as Sampras. Pete Sampras is simply a class apart & most dominating player of his time. 6 yrs in a row as World no.1 mean something that no man's able to match & admired even by modern great like Novak Djokovic

Then how did Pete Sampras won us open the same year ..I am saying this as a lifelong fan of pistol pete
@bimbisarsingh34093 жыл бұрын
@@suhasjoshi2905 U r right & same question can prop up in anybody mind incl me too. But one also have to acknowledge fact that Pete was in his super prime years beginning from 1993. So he cannot go on in drought for long at his peak. And between Wimbledon & US open there's roughly little more than 1 & half more months of time to recover.
