Żyj tu, pracuj, płać podatki i żadnych restrykcji. Po roku powiedz mi, czy Ci się nadal podoba.

Well, I have been in Dresden, Prague, Warsaw, Krakow, Poznan and Gdansk Christmas Markets and they are all no match to Wroclaw Christmas Market. I guess the amount of unique products and atmosphere in Wroclaw makes it that good, its hard to beat. Easily one of the best in Europe, but Kraków is very good too and its worth a visit! Fun fact: Kraków has oldest indor market in the world at Main Square, and Wroclaw has the oldest restaurant in Europe (Piwnica Swidnicka) also in Main Square. Fun fact 2: Kraków Main Square was inspired by Wroclaw main Square (50 years difference). They made one side of the square little longer in Kraków and didn't build it up as much, so it appears much bigger. Merry Christmas everyone ;)

Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia are one bigger complex called Tricity. It is like one bigger city, you probably will not notice when moving from one to another. Gdańsk os old one, Gdynia is youngest (built almost from scratch about 100 years ago). Sopot is kinda a resort town in between them. Booth worth seeing for sure.

In polish you can say "what do you want" as a 1:1 translation and you can say it as very politely. Most polish people don't realise that this might be rude to native English speakers. I did the same mistake during my first years in England. So: if somebody will ask something like that - this is +90% polite.

@@GoTimeTravels Zakopane is placed in Podhale region which is a place where Polish highlanders live. There are many traditional dishes specific only for this region of Poland You can try there like nowhere else in Poland. - Placek po zbójnicku - name could be translate as Robber Pancake - large potato pancake with meat gulasz derived from Hungarian culture. Very tasty. Name itself refers to "zbój", "harnaś" which are the Polish Highlanders words to describe band leader Robber. Most famed folk hero of this region name was Janosik. He was like Robin Hood but living up in the mountains - He and his band stole from nobles and robbed them to give back the goods to the poor podhalan highlanders. So wherever You'll see like wooden sculpture of a guy with tall hat and axe-like tool which is called "ciupaga" its probably Harnaś depiction or Janosik himself. The dish itself was probably brought to this region of Poland from Hungary by Karpatian Mountain Robbers. 🪓 - Kwaśnica - which could be translate as Acid Soup or Sour Soup - very sour and salty sauerkraut soup from sour cabbage. Very warming. But You eat it at your own risk 🤪 - Baranina - Lamb - Yeah they have many kinds of lamb to taste 🐏🐑🐏🐑 - Pstrąg po góralsku - it can be translated as Highlanders Trout sometimes named Pstrąg Górski - Mountain Trout - really tasty - from local mountain rivers. Regional highlanders were also very good river rifters and skilful river fishermen. 🐟🐟🐟 - Bryndza - other kind of traditional regional Cheese - You'll absolutely love it. It is a cheese made of salted and ground, ripe bundz. It has a salty taste, sometimes slightly sour or spicy. Bryndza was the first to be recognized as a regional product and received an EU certificate like oscypki. 🧀🧀🧀 - Kotlet schabowy - it's not so regional though they do it in very best way - its kind of pork schnitzel served with potatoes. 🐷 If You're in Zakopane - You should really try these all. The weather there is very tricky so I wish You luck. Cant wait to see Your vlog on this trip.

In Żabka the don't have the real oscypek, they have just the imitation called "ser górski" wich is not the real one. If you can see that the cheese is smooth and shiny (like almost waxed) on the outside, it is not oscypek. Oscypek is matte and slightly rough on the outside. Real oscypek is rarely sold in markets. I love your vids! Keep them coming! ❤ P.S. your assessment of the Christmas market in Krakow compared to Wroclaw is spot on!

If you like to know more about Poland and/or its rich history. Send me IM here or FB. Enjoy your stay in Poland. Going to Zakopane? Be sure to see the little woodden church in the centre and the cementary that is nearby it (interesting sculptures). Also it nice to see Karol Szymanowski's mansion, but there are more to see. If you like good apple-pie, it is worth to go on a trip, to Koscieliska Meadow (the bakpack centre on the ORNAK fields do the best apple-pie in these parts).

Ok., I try to explain. Gdynia is a quarter a million people city as a part - all together with Sopot and Gdańsk - of Trojmiasto (3-city). That million people area, including Hel peninsula, is the most popular Polish summer destination. There are a few million tourists there between June and September. So, frankly, I don't understand that Gdynia promotion, because, in my opinion, that city no need to be promoted.

If you like quaiter, less commercial more intimate experience then Krakow but if you like more action then Wroclaw .Wroclaw is also more glitzy as well children oriented with all the rides and children attractions. Some people might not like so much noise and sounds comming from all directions. Definitely you can't go wrong with either one.

The skating rink mentioned in the list can be found at the exit of Galeria Krakowska, where the main railway station is located. If that interests you, in the Louvre in Paris you will see Mona Lisa by Leonardo de Vinci and in Krakow in the Czartoryski Museum you will see the Lady with an Ermine by Leonardo de Vinci. Finally - in fact the Christmas market in Wroclaw is more spectacular than in Krakow, but in Krakow around the beginning In September, the Great Dragon Parade takes place for several hours - the Great Spectacle on the Vistula, an exceptional and unique open-air spectacle with the use of multimedia, pyrotechnics, lasers and thrilling music. When you watch them on KZbin, for example, you have the impression that you are in a city in Southeast Asia.

I hope you will come back to Kraków in this series however. I'm binge watching your PL playlist and I can see that it's the last video from Kraków for now, but you missed so many things worth mentioning. You did not show Wawel castle, you did not show Kazimiesz, the Jewish district with it's Jewish restaurants which are very different from Polish. Your promoting this country so much better than our official institutions that get payed for this very job. You should be on government paylist for those videos, thanks for that! And Poland is even nicer in the summer. And the nature in Poland is even nicer than the cities! But I only learned to appreciate it when saw videos like yours - to see my own country with the eyes of a foreigner is a different perspective than my own, when I take a lot of things for granted and don't appreciate them like they deserve to.

Why is amber popular in Poland? One of the reasons was the fact that it was and still is only in smaller quantities extracted from the Baltic Sea, another - that in the medieval times was an amber trail from Gdańsk to Italy, along the Vistula River through Krakow and near my hometown, charming little town of Stary Sacz. You should also see such places. Mountain Pieniny, Krynica Zdroj, Rytro, Piwniczna, Muszana, all small towns along the Poprad river valley. There are tons of such small towns. Great videos, keep it up :)
