Trams are the best way to get around Krakow, I have used them A LOT! I've got on or off at just about every stop featured in this video.

Very enjoyable video. When I was in Krakow in September 2021, I was very fond of the what appeared to be vintage trams, much older than the sleek streamlined units which made up the bulk of the video. They were quite common on the number 1 route to Salwator. My idea of a great day in Krakow, is a 24 hour tram ticket and journeying of the beaten track all around the city.

Trying to cross a busy road in Krakow, pedestrian crossing, but no lights; very cautiously stepped out, a car stopped then trams appeared from both directions - both stopped with no fuss. I had assumed they would stop for no one!

ן WANT TO INDICATE THAT AIR POLLUTION IN KRAKOW DOES NOT COME FROM TRAMS (THIS MYTH COULD BE TRUE IN EARLIER VEHICLES , IF AT ALL) IT IS SOME POLLUTING MATERIALS USED FOR HEATING. The implication is to visit Krakow unless winter is there.

@@mikoajem675 It's not BS nor a myth, all vehicles whether road, rail (incl Trams) that use brakes will create dust from the brake disc when it is applied, this dust is toxic and will be in the local air for anybody to inhale, the London Underground has this problem, and London also suffers from it from traffic pollution. In London, it is known as "London Cough" a dry persistent cough that never goes away.

@@merlinonline67 Trams and other electric vehicles retards by engine, not by brakes (engine becomes generator and thrust force sense is opposite to engine thrust force so the vehicle is retarding). The only exception is using emergency brake and in older trams - below 5 km/h.

Btw. Cracow trams are fully electrical so they don't pollute. The electricity from the traction network is delivered from very ecological and newly-built waste incineration plant situated outside the city.

Andrew Cook yes it is N8C in Kraków we have only one tram like this but in Gdańsk there are many n8c trams

Michał Zdechlikiewicz niestety większość już po modernizacjach, a mi chodziło jeszcze o te przed modernizacją

@@eciacud On został zmodernizowany z N8S na N8C-NF w 2011 roku przez Protram. Wtedy zyskał nowe ściany czołowe, elektrykę i klimatyzację. Raczej nie będą już go modernizować. Ale 5 N8S-NF już tak, ale jeszcze nie jest to pewne, najpierw muszą skończyć modernizować GT8S i zadecydować, czy ściągają kolejne GT8SU czy nie.
