Sarcasm is basically the Spartan national pastime, historically speaking. Its written that the Spartan brand of humor was making you feel like an idiot with the least amount of words. One example was when an outside invader sent a threatening delegation asking if he should come as friend or foe. The response: "Neither."

I’m really glad with the direction they went with her story. I kinda hated her for what she did to baldur, but after 4 years, before ragnarok released, I thought that she probably knew she made the wrong call. And I liked seeing her and kratos get along.

Freya with Kratos and Mimir as travel companions is good for her. Her hatred towards Kratos for killing Baldur dissipated when she heard Kratos' tragic story about his daughter in the past.

I think the most hilarious thing is that Mimir spent centuries spinning stories and endlessly talking at the Aesir court, to the point that literally everyone was ready to sew his mouth shut. But then he ends up stuck with Kratos, the most antisocial and practically silent individual in all the realms and it somehow levels Mimir out.

I feel like his role would be mostly diminished to witty jokes and commentary though. While he is the self-proclaimed “smartest man alive” Much of his knowledge is limited to places he’s been, or tales that have managed to transcend from their land of origin. He knows a lot about the things, people and events that have occurred within the 9 realms because he’s been there for a really long time. But he wouldn’t be able to fulfill his typical role of the “knowledgeable lore/exposition guy” in a land he knows next to nothing about.

@Jenzu You didn’t really say anything that I didn’t already touch on… Besides, even with all his traveling, there are still places that Mimir hasn’t been to. And he’s spent A LONG time within the 9 realms, both before and during his imprisonment. Were he to return to any of the previous lands he’d traveled he’d surely be out of the loop of happenings by a significant margin, even more so than he was with the going ons in the different realms while he was imprisoned.

My favorite part of this is witnessing Freya enjoying the time she spends with them. Considering the history they have, those little chuckles express a lot of trust and confidence being regained between them all. I hope Freya remains a solid companion of the family from here on out, because she's been through the same loss Kratos has and they understand each other's experiences to a great degree.

I just love the humor in that game. Sometimes it is so obvious like in this video and sometimes it's subliminal but still there. Everything in this game feels so serious and you constantly have the feeling of the immanent doomsday but they still managed to bring so many wholesome and funny moments into the game.
