Christina Gonzalve Don't let it fool you. It is metal. It has low relative heat capacity; you'd probably be burner more severely from a spoonfull of hot oil or grease than a red hot piece of metal falling on your skin. Those sparks don't hurt much. The sucker is if something hot gets stuck on you, or your hair gets burnt. But I think they know their safety procedures.

I think RWBY would be an awesome series for you to take a whack at. Rens gun blades would be cool to start with and then to step up to more complex things like Ruby's Scythe

Storm Flower would be cool, but I think by far the most doable would be Myrtenaster. They've basically already made it- it's a combo of the Gunblade, Asuna's Rapier, and Arya's Needle all in one. Plus, if they did Stormflower, they'd probably paint it. Personally I'm not a huge fan of painted weapons.
