Kratos probably was not at his best in their first encounter and he only has his leviathan axe which also go toe to toe with thor's hammer which creates a frozen lightning bolt there is also another frozen lightning bolt from another location which means faye also fought thor and live to tell the tale In their second encounter kratos was not pulling punches and had the blades of chaos and the axe and the spear meaning he was at his best fighting thor and was a bit exhausted when fighting odin which led to freya and atreus aid kratos to fight odin

People saying Baldur gets durability, look . Endurance is how much pain You can tolerate . Durability is how much Your body can tolerate. For example ur head gets cut off but you don’t feel pain . So you have normal durability but high endurance
