explanation: in Brazil there is a "video game specialist" called davy jones, he is extremelly famous, but is both terrible at video games and doesnt have a childhood history with them, so he pretends nostalgia, he was swearing on god he played all the resident evil games and spin offs, and was showing of saying he was a true fan of the series, the moment krauser showed up in the re4 trailer, he screamed "HOLY SHIT ITS WESKER!". he also censors anyone that makes fun of his mistake, he just knows jackshit about resident evil, like every other game he pretended to have played as a child.

No, it isn't. If CV were a mainline game it would have kept its designation as RE3, but it lost that distinction to Nemesis, which wad both a better game and more plot relevant. CV is a side story, accept it.

At this point to people new to the series though 7, 8 and the remakes so far. Wesker is an obscure character that comes out no where. To them, he only cameos in 2r, 3r, and 4r. Sure, he had a major role in 1r but I don't think alot of people even played 1r because of how old it is. But to most people, he's gonna be this guy that fucked off for three games and decided to come back. Code Veronica is needed to fill that cap for Wesker between 1 and 5. So yeah, we kinda need RE:CV before we get RE5.

@@Richterdgf I won't accept it, because it makes no sense. So much happens in CV that affects later games. It established that Wesker survived the mansion incident, he is now infected with a virus that makes him super human, he obtains the T-Veronica virus which he uses for future experiments leading to Uroboros, and we got some closure on Claire's quest to find her brother. Compare that to RE3 where the only thing that happens in that game that has any impact on future story is Jill gets infected with the T-Virus, leading to Wesker using her cells to perfect Uroboros. Capcom decided to switch the priority of marketing these two games mid development, which is why it's painfully obvious that CV had the more developed story despite Capcom to this day being stubborn and treating it like a spinoff

I think the thing a lot of people miss about Krauser in the remake: *he doesn't work for Wesker anymore.* Krauser in the remake is a genuine follower of Saddler, he's not in it for all the spirituality and such of course, he's in it for the raw power of the plaga, but he works for Saddler either way and isn't double-crossing him like he was in the original

Best villains don't have honor, they are relentless, thet are pure evil even without a reason, they jsut wanted the world to burn in flames. Joker for example, voldemort, Amon Goeth from Schindlers list, etc. Krauser accepting his death and being honorable gives him redemption just like Luis Serra, so they were honorobale villains, but not the "best" villains.
