This was the first time I believed a fighter like Batman could exist,I always thought in the comics with as cool as he is there’s no real human being who could be a such a ridiculously effective hand to hand combatant. It seemed just beyond the realm of possibility. This guy is so skilled that if I didn’t see it with my own eyes I wouldn’t believe it could be done. He’s not even a big guy either but he’s extremely dangerous with his bare hands and an absolute nightmare for an attacker. If he was attacked with someone using a 🔫 the attacker would be in more danger because of said 🔫 . At least if the assailant was unarmed he’d have a chance of walking away with his life. But to your point this guy needs to be the stuntman in the fight scenes of the next Batman movie😂

I've seen Krav Maga applied in a street fight. It's very effective if you can control your anxiety and you're well trained like I saw with dude in Brooklyn. What surprised me, was his opponent was bigger and taller, yet he broke him down in 6 moves because big boy got to close. He left him there in the ground face flat, took his girls hand and said quietly, "Come on, I gotta go pick up my mother." 😆 🤣 😂 True story.

Fight dirty especially if you are out numbered. I know the stuntmen are moving slower than normal, but that's done done for demonstration purposes and understood! It's just these demonstrations don't show the actual brutality and desperation of fighting for your life and the life of others, but it's still a great exhibition. You can also learn 8 to 10 techniques quickly and practice them until you are blue in the face. Then you can add 3 or more. keep adding more techniques as you progress.

@@stallio5612 That's the usual propaganda brainwashed cultists like to use, but that's not at all reality when it comes to fighting or how KM actually performs under real situations. What I always find funny is the folks who will tell you one form of martial art is better than the other, or this guy could kick this guys ass if it were in this situation. And I am sure that I will be told how stupid I am, and I could care less. This is coming from someone who has trained in multiple forms, and I will tell you each one that I have trained in has its purpose and is functional in its own right. Krav, however, was not designed to pit fighters in a ring, it was designed for a military and police force that literally have to fight for survival or have a high potential to fight for survival on a daily basis. Keeping that in mind, Krav does not focus on "legal" techniques, and what you can and cannot do on the fight, because the bad guy is not going to play with any set of rules. So, if you are looking for something to just defend yourself with, then I would totally recommend Krav, and one of the main reasons why, is Krav unlike BJJ, or Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Karate, and some of the other traditional arts, do not answer a multiple attacker scenario very well, and Krav does a decent job at that. Further, with Krav, is one of the theories as to why there are not tournaments is because the minute rules are applied, the art form loses its effectiveness, and to those of you who do not understand and just blast somebody because you can, is that Krav does answer defending yourself on the ground. Remember, Krav is not an attack first type of system, it is designed as a self-defense form. And with that, yes, a person who steps into the ring that is solely a Krav fighter, will more than likely lose, because he/she does not have the ability to use every technique that they can, and are limited by their rules. I am not saying Krav is an end-all-be-all form, I am merely helping those who don't understand what Krav is about. If you want to learn how to put someone in a guillotine, or triangle choke, go learn BJJ it's awesome, and fun. And a huge competitive aspect (and I am not even talking MMA). If you want to learn how to knock someone out with a knee or a fist, go learn any of the other stand-up forms. And I am not saying either that those systems will not help in a self-defense type situation, I am saying that Krav was designed for self-defense. And there is a completely different mindset in Krav compared to BJJ or Muay Thai or any of the other popular forms that you see in UFC, or Bellator or anywhere else.

Agree with everything except for the original purpose design of self defense or not an attack first style. Its original purpose was a military attack first system to take out any hostile as quickly and efficiently as possible. It was than revamp for law enforcement and for civilian for self defense due to its effectiveness. In the original purpose it teach soldiers to become assassins, using anything to achieve their goals. Thats krav maga. Other country have similar style system too. The effectiveness of the art still relied on the user like any other art.

Had a gun pulled on me once when I did security. Actually two guns. I was abducted at that time. Guess who did not try to disarm them? Yeah, me. Guess who's still alive without bullet holes 16 years later. Yeah, me again. Krav is effective in many situations, but disarming a loaded gun is a huge long shot. And more than 50% of the time you will be shot in these attempts. They should also teach how to best escape without fighting. Because that a surprisingly effective self defence tactic. I've had to fight more than once. And most of the time I've had some form of injury. But when you know you're beat, and you have the chance to leg it out of there, it's a viable option that should be taught in all realistic self defence courses. I'm not saying not to teach fighting, but to also add the option of an effective escape.

They actually tell you in the training that the only time to ever use those techniques is when there is no other option, like you are literally going to die if you don't do anything, they always tell you if you have a gun pointed towards you always give the person what they want, there is no material item worth more than your life, the moves used in Krav Maga were designed for warfare, life or death situations, but in reality no soldier is going to fight hand to hand unless he is taken buy surprise or he some how drops his weapon, soldiers are almost always in teams, you're most likely going to use control techniques like wrist locks and judo type moves when in a security situation like arresting a suspect or whatever types of non lethal situations, but krav maga was generally designed for war, where soldiers had to be deployed within a month or a week i think, and they do teach you kidnapping survival techniques. Krav Maga global and Krav Maga world wide are the go to's for krav maga becuase their teachers worked with imi lichtenfeld and have trained SWAT and IDF soldiers and even some of our special forces units as well, I know the head teacher of krav maga world wide is in a swat unit for cop killer cases, and uses these techniques all the time. But yeah, its not bullshit, and you are totally right, gun disarming techniques are usually used as a worst case scenario or used buy soldiers who have years upon years of experience, so its not a good idea for newbies.
@nomad15174 жыл бұрын
@@timothybright7064 Yeah, they tell you that too, they teach you about situational awareness and how to avoid getting into a fight in the first place, a lot of so called "Krav Maga" facilaties tell you they are the best and they are the official place to train and they will teach you how to take people out and kick their ass, blah blah blah, we all know those idiots. But there are only a very few that are legit, the ones that are, usually teach our military and other military's, or they have connections with police and swat units, and they usually all worked with the founder Imi lichetenfeld, those are the real guys, the only two places that I think are the best are, Krav Maga World Wide and Krav Maga Global. Both owners are police and military based. But yeah, they tell you that, to run, that is the best thing to do, but if you have no other choice, then the techniques can come in handy, only for a life or death type of thing.

You noticed that too? But the title got us here. :) Bruce Lee's name still draws people in. Yet the REALITY was as great a "martial artist" as he was he was not a "fighter" and all his alleged "challenges" and street confrontations were ALL heresy. Isn't it odd that there's no video footage of 1 of these "real fights"?? No photos. No newspaper clippings where the police were called in to stop the fight...arrest the instigator. Like in a Karate Kid film (no police). If a "martial artist" never steps in a squared or octagonal circle...he or she is not proven. Thus INCOMPLETE!! Bruce refused to compete because just one loss would damage his rep...he couldn't afford that. He would no longer be considered the "God" he still is today by many. Still featured on covers of US martial arts magazines decades after his death (I'm sure all over the world too). Why there so so many biographiies on DVD/BluRay. Films about his life. Etc. Why people are still using his name for their own promotion... Imho the true "Bruce Lee of Krav Maga" is an operative that will remain anonymous. We'll never hear or see him (or her)...for their own safety. No true SPEC OPS person wants to reveal themselves in a KZbin video. Isn't that sort of "SPEC OPS 101"??

You might like to know that his background is mainly BJJ hehe he uses more BJJ mixed into his Krav than a lot of fighters I know. I don't think he's the Bruce Lee of anything, but he is definitely skilled. Demos aren't an actual show of how he would fight in real life. He is demonstrating techniques and such without injuring opponents, not to mention that control and timing are essential to prevent injury to your uke when demonstrating. Sure, it isn't just like a movie where it flows so nicely, but it serves thr intended purpose.

Most of the moves resemble with silat + judo element. So Krav Maga is more or less a compilation of self defense system that have already exist with brand new name. The only new, is the way KM take over gun from his opponent.
@notchomomma2398 ай бұрын
That is correct. It was developed by a German/Jewish athlete who survived the night of broken glass and fled to what's modern-day Israel. Israel is the end of the Silk Road, so martial arts from China to the Middle East pass thru their. He chose movements from several more aggressive styles with the purpose of developing a martial art for fighting against multiple opponents who may be armed simultaneously. During the night of broken glass, he saw professional boxers and Olympic level Greco-Roman wrestlers get taken down that way (by Hitler's brown shirts) and built an entire martial arts system around that nightmarish experience. It's also worth mentioning that Silat and Kempo are both examples of mixed martial arts like Krav Maga. Kempo literally translates to "mixed fighting."
@ratonL8 жыл бұрын
Which discipline is the belt of? I did not know belts and gi were used in Krav Maga, not to mention high kicks.
@Swartking8 жыл бұрын
ratonL Krav Maga has adapted the judo grading system with three categories: Practitioner, Graduate, Expert. Each of the categories, which are often abbreviated to their initials, has 5 ranks. Each rank or two is usually associated with a belt. Grades P1 through to P5 (White, Yellow, Orange, Green belts) are the student levels and make up the majority of the Krav Maga community. After P5 are G1-G5 (Green, Blue, Brown belts), and in order to achieve Graduate level the student has to demonstrate a proficiency in all of the P level techniques before advancing. The majority of instructors hold a G level grade and are civilian instructors. One usually achieves a black belt once they've reached E1 although it's common to find Krav Maga practitioners to have Black Belts with a G5 ranking as the administration of achieving E1 is a nightmare. At the end of the day though, its not about belts. Its about how well you can execute your techiques in real life situations under duress in order to protect yourself.

BJJ is probably the single greatest martial art. BJJ is great for fighting with rules, locking someone on the ground, as a martial art, and as a sport. After all, that is what it is. Krav Maga is probably the single greatest military-specific martial art/self-defense system/street fighting style. Krav Maga is great for street and military fighting, with multiple attackers, and with weapons and things that could be used as weapons. After all, that is what it is. Using only Krav Maga, could you win a fight against someone using only BJJ in a ring with rules. I don't think so. Using only BJJ, could you win a street fight against someone using only Krav Maga or against multiple attackers, who don't fight with rules, and do fight with knives and various other things around that could be used as weapons? I don't think so. Therefore, the question of "Which is better in a fight, BJJ or Krav Maga?" It is an ignorant question. It is like asking "Which is better in a race, a race car or a racing boat?" Depends on the race, environment, opponent(s), tools, rules, etc. BJJ and Krav Maga are each awesome for what each of them are. In my humble opinion, a well-rounded fighter would be great at Krav Maga, BJJ, and Muay Tai.

Rule 1 : Always use long range weapon close to your opponent. Rule 2 : When attacking, use large movements so that your opponent can easily anticipate everything
@ronrocker71317 жыл бұрын
pesroxor lol this is staged, but it REALLY DOES happen. Anything can happen in a street fight. You can't ALWAYS use the best strategy, because something, may it be your surroundings(or external factors), or mby your feeble mind, may not allow it sometimes. Mistakes and accidents can always happen.
@ronrocker71317 жыл бұрын
pesroxor Also, things are always down to chance and diversity. Even if the premise is simple, there are lots of variables and ways to counter or avoid something. Your opponent may, in fact, expect exactly what you, and many others, call the right strategy(only simple movements, close range, etc) And respond accordingly. Sometimes, in the right conditions, it's the big moves that will work.
@ronrocker71317 жыл бұрын
pesroxor And also, SOMETIMES people do stand and wait in a fight. KIND OF. Happens in 3 cases: confusion due to a hit/block/catch/multiple fighters; fear; or a defensive strategy. The first case MAY, in fact, involve somebody briefly standing, as if they made a sucker punch. If i manage to catch a limb, it can be manipulated. One can resist, but only up to a point.
