"Once upon a time wrestling was awesome. Then all the great wrestlers died and we have The Ascension." Still my favorite Vinny line.

From the episode of Hogan's handicap match to the Giant beating Flair I had on 1 VHS tape. They didn't mention on the parking lot brawl at the end one of the cars was destroyed, Heenan goes nuts yelling "THAT'S MY RENTAL CAR!"

At the opening, Bryan makes fun of Craig for mentioning that they’re in Cleveland. I genuinely appreciate Craig providing that information as part of the historical record of these shows. It costs nothing. Tell us where they were doing the show!

I now use the term 'geeks' for all jobbers. Thank you.
@press_x_tojason2 жыл бұрын
The problem is, not all jobbers are geeks, and not all geeks are jobbers. Geeks are guys like Ziggler, who think that, because he narrowly kept his feet from both hitting the floor in one Rumble on SIX different occasions, he’s going to get over, because Shawn did it once at the end of an iron man Rumble run, in the final spot, and that was exciting. Or like that Mania pre show when Ali and his opponent were screaming about being the heart and the soul, in a match where no one knew what their match was about, and they didn’t do anything physical to reflect the implied animosity, but then went and did the super kick finish into cover from HBK retiring Flair, tear for tear. Did they hate each other? Did they regret having to fight? You can’t tell from anything they did in the actual match. It’s just rapid-fire aerial moves. Big spots that mean nothing because they do a hundred of them in ten minutes, to the point that they’re just regular spots. Honestly, that’s why Brock vs Roman matches are boring now. All the moves they do to each other are finishers, and yet 98% of them don’t finish matches. They had a decent match in 2015 and one in 2017(until the finish), but eventually there’s a limit to what can be done when no one cares.
