You're absolutely right! I'm currently working at Qualcomm, and I can attest to what you're saying. However, one thing that wasn't mentioned is that there are a lot of students in the queue who have completed their courses and VLSI and are still waiting for a job. As a fresher, it can be difficult to secure a position, but once you get the job, life becomes much easier.

#Money_always_matter. After looking the salary of VLSI engineers I have decided to pursue M.Tech in VLSI. In my college first 2 semester teach in campus and for next 2 semester it will send all students to Taiwan for better studies. Taiwan is Market leader in semiconductor industry about 47% and above market capture in this field. PSU are the waist of money and time. There is no growth in future. India me v VLSI company ka starting salary 20 lacs p.a. hai wo v metro cities me. Income k sath life ka full enjoy.
