+The Almighty Croaksplosion Alright.... 1: Not every single frontier monster has spikes, poborubarumu (whale wyvern), raviente(giant snake), toridcless (bird of paradise wyvern), shanthien (blue haired flying leviathan), taikun zamuza (multi-shelled crab), forokururu (hummingbird wyvern), etc, etc, etc just to name a few. 2: Same goes for these frontier monsters actually. Speaking as someone who's actually played the game and have killed zeniths which I can safely assume, you and OP hasn't. Espinas spikes and thorns are what make up its thick and impenetrable hide that softens up when its enraged. Akura Vashimu's bio-fluids are what causes the crystal spikes to consistently grow, this is why its immune to status ailments and how its able to use crystals as weaponry. Mi Ru shapeshift via the crystalline veins within its body that allows for it to shift forms albeit, very minorly. Berukyurosu discharges electricity via the poles within its back, if not controlled, it can hurt it, this is how berukyurosu commits suicide if you don't capture it fast enough. Hyujikiki is based off of a motherfucking hedgehog, the oils and fat within its body allow for it to grow spikes fast, you simply can't bitch about this one if you're a fan of Seregios. Disufiroa is forced to keep its ice and fire attributes completely balanced, otherwise, one takes over the other and the creature itself is killed, this is what the chest spikes are for and the ice spikes on its back are due to the constant check of balance its forced to keep, this is why disu's death animation is of it freezing up, cuz the ice took over the fire. Should I go on? I genuinely could if you're up for it.

Right now I really just don't like the gameplay. So many particle effects and area wide AOEs, and you can run with every single weapon. It just doesn't FEEL like Monster Hunter. Instead it's just a completely different game, and I would be perfectly ok if it was just that. Could you please justify that?

As for the gameplay, I can see why people are turned off by it, but at the same time, eh... I had a similar opinion to you until I actually played the game, lel. The AOEs are really not as bad as they look, you can evade, block, time and run away from literally all of them, plus, they perfectly match up with the weapon styles that you can access. I think this is something that frontier does leagues better than generations, there are only like... 5 monsters built for the styles in generations with everything else just being their standard self, thus creating a horrid gameplay imbalance, with frontier on the other hand, the monsters gain their HC counterparts to balance the equation, as you have these brand new movesets with your weaponry, the monsters get brand new movesets too, it is honestly something the mainline series needs to start doing in my opinion, and no, fuck deviants, they should not be classified as their own thing when they're literally less different than even subspecies. If it doesn't feel like MH, then your opinion on Generations Ultimate must be very interesting cuz that game rips off a lot of things from frontier, lmao. You seem to be one of those people that prefer the old-styled gameplay, aka akin to MHFU or MH3U, if that's the case then, I can understand your point but at the same time, I don't understand why you're shitting on frontier but 4U and generations gets a pass? World completely changed the formula too, is that still a MH game? Yes it is. Do remember that Frontier has MMO-esque mechanics, they update frequently and add so much new stuff into the game, its in the MH universe and that's how it will remain, but besides the MMO mechanics (which you can actually avoid when playing the game), it plays like a standard MH game but with a few twists, namely styles, the existence of HC monsters, supremacy, diva, interception, hunting road, etc, etc You say it doesn't 'feel' like monster hunter, as someone who's actually played the game, I've 'felt' more monster hunter out of frontier than I did with generations and world, not to say I dislike generations and world, I actually adore both games, world is the best MH mechanics-wise but it does have its fair share of problems. You have your opinion and there's no problem with that, but that doesn't mean you get to whole-y judge what makes monster hunter what it is and what doesn't.

On of my problems with monster hunter is the lack of many mammal monsters (epically non flying one) and this seems to have a lot of them. Monster Hunter Frontier's monsters are basically monsters of the Ancient Civilization, most of them went extinct from the war. Frontier's lore is also more about the Ancient Civilization the fact most of the maps in the game are the Ruins like Sky Corridor, Cloud Viewing Fortress, Tower. Heck some Elder Dragons are even treated equally in the Ancient Civilization society like Nefu Garumudo.

...There's a good chance we won't see any of these (aside the occasional Lavasioth due to timing) in the main series due to how apparently huge the backlash of tossing Hypnocatrice and Lavasioth in the main series was. From what I've heard this was due to how, at the time, Frontier didn't have jack for exclusive monsters. (But hey, it's all right for Frontier players to get main series exclusive monsters now that they have exclusive monsters out the derriere now, right?) It's a shame too. MH World is a G Rank expansion away from being my favorite MH period, but as it is right now, it's aggressively easy, lol. Frontier's difficulty looks pretty appealing right about now...

Thanks for the info on dates. These 3 monsters were the ones I had to dig from outside of the wiki, and even then I had to clip them transparent, I knew something was fishy with their release, but I wanted to add as much as I could find to the list. Honstly I'm not yet sure whether they'll continue to update the game with new monsters after these or not. Now I'll probably wait till Nov's patch to update this along with any missing info and feedback, in the mean time please let me know what more you'd like to see!
