Oh my god Kremer!!! I was looking for an option to order samples!! 110% please put that somewhere on your website where people can actually see it. I would definitely have ordered some. Those would be great for hobbyists who don't want to order a ton of one pigment which they can never use up. (Their shipment costs are quite high, so just ordering a few tiny bottles isn't super feasible. It's better to wait until you have enough stuff. Which I had 😑 rats) (Mr Kremer if you are wondering if your sponsorship is working, I watch this channel and ordered stuff from you, so you gained at least one customer ^_^)

Maybe a bunch of samples to make up for the shipping? 😅 I think they have enough of pigments to choose from! 😁

@@dirtyblueshopYeah, totally. You won't run out of stuff. Their customer service is also super nice. Good company.

Applause is in order as Mr Kremer seems to be very approachable for pigment nerds. I saw a video by a fellow named Michael Price and he talked about Mr Kremer in the same manner. I think he knew his first name. Kremer is selling his book, so I guess there is a connection there. I wonder if they'd send me a copy, just to peruse a bit. I would be careful with it as well.

Well there’s actually two misters Kremer. This was after contact with David, but Georg (his father) is a treasure too! He’s the one I speak of in my Smalt video

I'd LOVE if you could manage to make a review of the SICOPAL blue. I've ordered it some time ago and it just doesn't feel like a Pb28 at all. Like (next to) no granulation and it's really hydrophobic. At first I thought they might have filled the wrong pigment in the bag. :D
@dirtyblueshop9 ай бұрын
I’m gong to try it out! Not sure it’ll be a review but I might share my findings in a live?
@shalomaleichem74029 ай бұрын
@@dirtyblueshop Doesn't need to be a review ofc, "review" was more or less a place holder for any kind of video. But yeah I'd absolutely love to hear your thoughts about it in a live stream, as I still kinda have a hard time believing that it's Pb28. I mean there's a prospect from the manufacturer (BASF if I remeber correctly) saying it's cobalt blue, but it's just feeling so not like cobalt blue.^^

Do they stop selling py40? I wonder because I found a page on the kremer webpage which says that they tested the pigment and that it's still lightfast.
@ossi26359 ай бұрын
I wonder if there are currently different qualities from that pigment available... there are channels which shows the poor lightfastness of their cobaltyellow.
@dirtyblueshop9 ай бұрын
I have no idea why there’s such a big difference! And I’m not sure when it’ll stop being sold, but I heard it’s no longer produced

I was Looking at Kremer and wanted to order some pigments, all the ones I want … showed a message saying “proof must be provided of having a professional license”… what is all that about? Also I can’t find and sources in Canada to get real pigment… everyone only has micas.
@Brilliantnash9 ай бұрын
Probably because some pigments need professional handling? Cadmiuns for example are known heath hazards and should not be ingested or inhaled. Maybe just reach out to them by e-mail to get your answer?
@dirtyblueshop9 ай бұрын
Yeah just contact them, but there’s a reason for it. Some of them are actually quite harmful
@shalomaleichem74029 ай бұрын
You've probably tried to order some pigments containing lead or arsenic or any other substance that's controlled here in Germany.^^
@shalomaleichem74029 ай бұрын
@@Brilliantnash Cadmium paints and pigments aren't restricted for private users (for now) here in the EU/Germany, however pigments containing lead and arsenic or stuff like genuine gamboge are only available for professional users working in restauration etc. due to toxicity.

I only have micas left at the moment, I’m feeling lonely for using real pigment. Yesterday I tried to make a lake from Christmas cactus flowers, which should have worked, contains same pigment substance called bromelians as beets. However I used a new bag of “alum” … and it didn’t seem right… something was off. Yep when I added the sodium carbonate… no reaction… tried filtering… nothing was left in filter. Highly unusual… even if a lake fails… you get something left in the filter, a white substance, grey, brownish… Only conclusion is that I bought a fake product from a third party seller on Amazon. Who knows what this white stuff actually is? Yikes…
@TracyIndy9 ай бұрын
That's no fun. 😢 I hope you find real alum soon and be on your merry way to creating. I hope to try making lakes one of these days. 🤞
