Eachine ROTG01 Pro UVC receiver is upgraded with audio,and two buttons which make you search the frequency up or down,also included 2 different cables for Type-C and Micro USB, and receiver sensitivity is more stable than the old version. It is a new receiver that you can connect to your smart phone directly instead of heavy monitor and good for those who feel dizzy when wear FPV goggles. Great testing, dude! 😊 About the latency with the smartphone, I guess it depends on the smartphone used. On my old Galaxy Note 4 (RIP) it was pretty fast! Now on my new one (Galaxy J Pro, something like that) it's horrible. 😕

Yes, I agree that the phone can affect the latency, but the result were pretty similar on my S8 Plus.

Hello, with eachine Rotg01, Can we get the camera back on a Drone with a phone that does not have WiFi 5,8ghz? My phone is huawei mate 10 lite.

Are you asking if this analog 5.8 ghz receiver will work with a phone that doesn't have 5.8 ghz wifi??? If so you are very confused...wifi has nothing to do with this setup at all. The phone needs OTG capability and have the Android O.S. and app (I use FPViewer) , and use an OTG cable to connect it to your phone (basically a cable that has data wies as well as power) and that is it, nothing more.

Hi, nice review, the latency test especially. I just ordered the rotg01 pro. The video resolution is 640x480 if i'm not wtong. Is it really that bad? I mean comparing it to 800x400 fpv googles for example. Thanks.

Thanks. 640*480 is fine and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Just make sure to get a 4:3 fpv camera.

I recently ordered the non pro version but I don't feel bad having it on the way since it seems the same. I don't have need to record audio. I was told that a phone's recording quality should be better than the DVR quality in googles. Is that not true?

Well it depends on the goggles. I am not about your needs, but I can fairly assume that the ROTG1 will be fine.

Hi Gal, great little review I bought the ROTG01 and then found out it did not support audio, so I just rushed out and got the ROTG01 Pro version. I still can not get audio from my phone, is that correct have you tested it or do I need to use the AV connector to get audio out. Many thanks Alan

Yes - it works the same as the older one. It doesn't come with a regular USB cable, but these are pretty common and I am sure you have one at home.

It is recognized as USB 2.0 Camera, but I only get either a white or black "image"; i cannot access the device setups (eg in vlc) and nch sais eg "no valid webcam found" when i select the recognized USB 2.0 Camera... :-(

I hooked up the ROTG01 Pro with a cable I use to charge the Android Phone. The Go FPV app starts and recognizes the camera, but the screen remains black. @@tarunks4500 Check the connection of your antenna, make sure that the VTX is not on pitmode and remember to set the VRX and VTX to the same frequency.
