100%, this guy does NOT get the respect that he deserves, because his resume is HoF caliber, and it clearly speaks for itself. You go from coaching Favre at the end of his career, to all of Rodgers career here as a Packers and during his zenith and prime, and now you've come back to coach Love, and it's paying off. Clements mind, understanding of QBs is absolute Top-Tier and I would argue is the best in the best in the business with possibly the only rival being that of Reid and co. w/ the Chiefs, however even he has Packers footprints all over him from the Holmgren days of the 90s. All in all, Clements is absolutely vital, and when you watch Favre, Rodgers, to Love, you can easily tell that Rodgers took from Favre habits, perks, and made it his own while still having striking similarities, and now Love is doing the samething, but once again, with his own flavor, while keeping striking similarities as well. It's just crazy that Green Bay may literally be counting 1, 2, and 3, and hitting the jackpot all three times in a row.

One of the most impressive things the Packers have done for a very long time is to keep their O Line at a high level. It’s one of those things that sounds simple, keep building the O line, but look at how hard it is for some teams to keep or find a good line to block for their QB.

On one hand, it'd be great if the Packers had a #1 WR. But on the other hand, I think Davante Adams ended up being a crutch for Aaron Rodgers. In his final playoff game for GB, it became obvious that the way to beat the Packers was to smother Davante because they knew Aaron would try to get it to him no matter what. But now with literally every receiver and tight end being a legitimate pass option, defenses are having a hard time figuring out what to do. And that's not even mentioning Jacobs as a legitimate pass target and maybe even Lloyd. Just.... don't ask GB to win with field goals.

Very much agreed. Defenses knew where the ball was going, especially in critical moments. Rogers also did not spread the ball around much. The 2023 Green Bay Packers were excellent at defying expectations. On the one hand, look at the Giants and Bucs games. Green Bay should have beaten New York handily and at least been competitive against Tampa, but they weren't. And though they beat Carolina and Chicago (week 18), they didn't look great in either game. On the other hand, you look at all their division road games and especially the Dallas playoff game. The Bears talked all kinds of smack last offseason. What did Green Bay do? We dismantled them, 38-20. The Lions thought they could capitalize on a struggling Love on Thanksgiving. What did Green Bay do? We scored 3 touchdowns in the first quarter and never looked back, final score 29-22. The Vikings thought they could squash Green Bay's playoff hopes on New Year's Eve. What did Green Bay do? We annihilated them, 33-10. San Francisco thought they had the game in the bag as the #1 seed facing the #7 seed. And while they did win, the Packers were the better team for most of that game, and would have likely gone to overtime if we had a kicker. And then the Wild Card game. Dallas thought for sure they would destroy us. Even Tom Grossi kept saying the Packers were "playing with house money." But what did Jordan Love and the Packers do? We absolutely *demolished* Dallas. We did to them what they thought they would surely do to us. We jumped out to a 48-16 lead, and then benched our starting quarterback with a perfect passer rating. Sure, he came back when the game got a little too close for comfort and lost a point, but still. The Packers came out like they knew it was supposed to be a blowout, but nobody told them who was supposed to blow out who. I'm excited to see what they do for an encore. Then again, the Packers' first ever international game started Aaron Rodgers' downward spiral, and the Packers are STARTING with an international game this season, so...

They will be going to a 4-3 with more 1 high safety looks. Xavier McKinney is very rangy which allows the other safety to cheat up into the box if warranted on run downs. Considering in a 4-3 there’s 4 big guys with hands in the dirt they should be more stout at the line of scrimmage. Kenny Clark will have more help with Devonte Wyatt joining him in the middle. TJ Slaton and Karl Brooks adds depth inside too.. Rashan Gary and Preston smith have proven they can disrupt outside runs or at least contain them enough to force ball carriers back inside. Let’s not forget Luke Van Ness and Enagbare for more depth at edge. Edgerrin Cooper was thought as one of (if not) the best linebacker(s) in the draft and has shown to play with instincts and power against the run. Isaiah McDuffie was at BC with Hafley and already has plenty of experience in this scheme. If anything it’s the secondary that will be tested as their job got harder. Safeties will have to show much more range than they previously had to with Barry’s more bend don’t break zone heavy defense. The cool thing about a 1 high look is that man defense should be played more often and we will now see Jaire follow the number 1 receiver which plays to his strengths. Eric Stokes and Carrington Valentine are the guys to watch. The defense really relies on their play I think Valentine wins out in the end but Stokes has played well in the past I think he may have just gotten complacent and discouraged by Barry’s defense. Another cool way the 1 high safety can be utilized is it can disguise itself as cover 1 but really be a cover 3 with fast enough corners on the outside which all 3 corners I mentioned have that ability. If Kitan Olidapo is better than advertised he could find himself having a Kam Chancellor like role (now I said role not impact) you know like the legion of boom ran so well. I haven’t even gotten to Javon Bullard who is most likely the other safety to McKinney. Bullard was once a nickel corner, shows a good amount of range, and good tackling. Reason this is important is because it’s a passing league and a 4-2-5 formation is really how most teams want to line up in against said pass. 4 lineman, 2 linebackers, 5 defensive backs. Linemen: Gary, Clark, Wyatt, Smith. Line Backers: Walker; Mcduffie or Cooper. Defensive backs: Jaire, Stokes,Valentine, Bullard with McKinney and Olidapo at safety. Depending how well they transition the defense could end up being the strength of this team.. it’s possible not probable as the offense is finally primed to be ran the way Lafluer has been waiting for. Jacobs is a better fit than Jones. ( I said better fit not better player) Jacobs is much more off a workhorse pound the rock style that will behoove him and Dillon as defenses will hate having to continually tackle these hard nose contact seeking backs. Lloyd is also a strong back who gives Kyren Williams vibes.. 11-6 floor, 14-3 ceiling. At least a Conference Championship game appearance feels like a good prediction. Go Pack Go!!

The Defense has definitely bend the achilles heel of the Packers over this "30 year window"... Except 1996 & 2010, that's why this Jeff Hadley hire is SOOOO FLIPPING important to the next 5-7 years!! He will change the culture of this "forgotten" side of the ball!! I know we have sucked at D 4, forever now 🤣😂. BUT, just look at the talent we have right now and tell me that a different scheme and different mindset isn't going to take the NFL by surprise. And yes, I am a Packers fan that drinks the "Kool-Aid" EVERY year!! 😂🤣 BUT, take a look and tell me GB isn't the most talented team in the NFC for YEARS to come?!?! JS Gentlemen, JS... #Facts #GoPackGoBayBee

I as a Packers fan completely disagree with needing a top tier receiver. They need to keep rolling with the receiver by committee because the ball can be spread around making it hard to pinpoint on one receiver. The Packers having two good pass catching tight ends who also block and having a solid running game will make play action that much more deadly and lead to wide open post routes or deep passing leaving defenses wide open

@@thewizardofoz511 teams and tape on Love all season last year, look what he did in the playoffs. The Packers are stacked, no weaknesses at all, and are going to win nearly every game by 21+ points. They are on a mission to stop the Chiefs from getting three championships in a row, as only Green Bay has ever done that

@@bayshorepark1231239 no disrespect but I'm calling CAP on that one boss.. I haven't heard no one speak about the Packers that way outside of Packers fans.. and that stateline you just gave sounds like a 12-year-old playing Madden or something.. so I can't respect it.. so because of such an unrealistic statement by yourself I won't be taking you seriously from this point on..

I'm starting this thing now where I write down the title and comments of people who make absurd comments so I can put it back in their face when it immediately goes wrong 😭 just to show them how ridiculous they sounded.. I have this one now.. with making comments like this you should expect repercussions from opposing fan bases.. and don't you DARE get mad at them or give a sarcastic response when they come back at you.. You're putting this type of pressure on yourself because you're not thinking logically.. the Packers aren't the only ones that improved in that division, yet alone the NFC..

Last year I predicted a floor of 7 wins and a ceiling of 10 wins. They outplayed my expectations and gave the 49ers all they could handle. This year i believe their floor is 9 and the ceiling is 13. Can they match the lion's? It remains to be seen. It always depends upon how much your divisional opponent's have improved or regressed. You can improve but if they take a bigger step forward you get left behind. Let's see who gels right away and can limit the injury bug.

Nope your absolutely correct Green Bay surpassed Detroit by the end of the year and then significantly improved in the off-season with quite a few impact players and an overhaul on the defensive side.

Quick comments as a packer fan: love the optimism, but we do not need a wr1. The reason love flourishes is because he spreads the ball and it’s unpredictable unlike how Rodgers was with tae. Also no mention of Jeff haffley from you or any other people casually covering the pack. Joe Barry was a big reason our defense sucked and haffley will fix that

As a Packers fan, I don't think the Packers are the "most dangerous" NFL team. Defense is a big question mark right now, but there are a lot of things to be optimistic about. Especially compared to what people expected at the start of the 2023 season.

Pack-a-day says McKinney is the 2nd best player on the team, and we didn't have him last year. Let that sink in. Then we have Halfly. The ONLY way we don't win the superbowl this year is Love gets injured.
@randomgrinn5 ай бұрын
They beat the Chiefs last year. They destroyed the Cowgirls. They dominated the 9ers in the playoffs for 55 minutes. They then got hugely better with Halfley and McKinney. Anyone who does not see them as the SuperBowl favorites is simply not well informed.
