Finally shot a k80 yesterday and the one thing I did not like was the tapered rib. So perhaps the parcours x is a possibility. Hopefully next week I get hands on a Dt11, it's between the blaser f3. Dt11 and pacours x.

Is a dt11 a good brute working gun for international skeet or would you rather have a Perazzi or Krieghoff all with ergosighn stocks
@lloydyp6 жыл бұрын
I think the number of skeet shooters who choose the DT11 speaks for itself Aidin. I know Beretta sponsor a lot of shooters and have deep pockets but the DT11 is a properly well engineered tool. That said, the other guns you mention are also excellent, in that price bracket it's about what you want, there is no *best* gun really, there's just what you prefer.
@blackadder1966 Жыл бұрын
Handled an old k80 yesterday and also Dt11, 694, and browning pro sport. Unfortunately, I could not shoot them. They all felt lighter than my browning Gp, which has a recoil reducer fitted. Wasn't a fan of the pro sport, preferred the Dt11 over the 694, both were too low in the stock for me, so id need an adjustable stock. At the moment, it looks like a krieghoff are winning. Now standard vs. parcours is the question. Now lloyd of the k80, parcours and Dt11 how's the recoil on them compare?
@MegaFrank19607 жыл бұрын
How goes it Lloyd. Just one minor correction. After many rounds, when the top latch & barrel shoulders do finally mate, the rebuild comes from welding the barrel shoulder ends, filing to the correct original angle, then naturally rebluing the barrels (after welding). Krieghoff used to make a replacement over sized top latch (with a bit steeper angle to compensate for barrel shoulder wear)..................but to my knowledge, no longer made by K. At least not available here in the states, and a "oversize" top latch is a rare find. Great video however, hoping an F3 review is next. Regards, Frank

Thanks for the info Frank. I do need to review the F3 at some point but that's not what's next. I will keep this under my hat for now though, you will see on Friday.

They do a rounded beavertail, and you can spec a friend shape to suit as they are interchangeable.

Hi How does the Blaser F3 compare to the Krieghoff? Would like to know, if you think Krieghoff is worth the extra £5000.
@lloydyp7 жыл бұрын
Ha! now that is the (literally) $5000 question. I asked the exact same thing before I bought one and no-one could tell me. Genuine response is that I thought the Blaser was the bees knees til I tried a Krieghoff. The F3 is undoubtedly a truly fantastic gun and IMO a better looking one, and I would still have one over any other gun in that price bracket..... However, I owned a K80SS and an F3SS at the same time, and the F3 never came out of the cabinet once the K80 was in there. The differences are small, there is a law of diminishing returns on most sporting equipment once you get past a certain point but the K gun is just an absolutely amazing bit of engineering. Everything about the gun oozes quality and reliability, and for all those tiny little differences, the sum of the whole is one hell of a gun. I am not sure if I can convey this in words other than to say go shoot one and see. I did.

Hi Lloyd great reviews love watching them and Value your opinion as they are honest and to the point, which brings me to my question, I have a maximum of £3000 to spend on a new shotgun OU sporting for clays, and I wondered what you thought would be the Best Buy.

Paul Dauven Hi, is this your first gun? E.g you have no frame or reference for what you like in a gun?

Lloyd Pattison , yes it will be my first gun but I have been at my local club with a member using a browning b525 also shot the silver pigeon got on ok with both also had a small go with a blaser f16 which I liked a lot not sure why it just felt better.
@lloydyp7 жыл бұрын
Paul Dauven ok well the F16 should definitely be on your shortlist, I take it you are shooting mainly sporting?
@pauldauven36657 жыл бұрын
Lloyd Pattison yes
@lloydyp7 жыл бұрын
OK, well this is a tough question, there are a lot of great guns in that price point, and if you have a look round my channel you can watch the reviews of the ones I have looked at. The F16 is a lovely gun, simple , very fast and beautifully engineered. The Browning B725 Prosport is the opposite end of the spectrum, heavy, deliberate, fully adjustable with lot's of toys to tinker with. The CG Summit (little brother of the Invictus) is another lovely gun that sits between the two and has a great feel, and lots of accessories for the money. The last one I cant leave out is the Beretta 692, which I haven't tested but is supposed to be good. If you are willing to look at second hand, that's a whole new ballgame, but we would need an afternoon in the pub to talk over all the options. Best bet is to go to a decent gun room that have some demo guns and spend some time with them, shoot some, and pick the one that feels best to you, and fits you and your shooting style. Let me know how you get on?

The K80 was a marmite guns for me, until I shot one & loved it. Having shot both supper sport and parcours I do prefer the latter for sporting. But in all honesty both are currently out of my price league.

I want to use the gun for game and clay, can you please tell me between perazzi mx2000s or parcours Thank you!
@lloydyp6 жыл бұрын
At this price point you need to shoot them both and buy the one you love. I shoot both clay and game with my supersport but it's an ugly heavy gun for game shooting as at t this level it's as much an aesthetic choice as one of shooting preferences. If you are buying off the rack, Krieghoff stock dimensions are better. If you have time and can afford to go to the Perazzi factory, go and get your perfect gun made. The trigger pulls are better on Perazzi, but the off the rack dimensions dont suit everyone.
