They keep saying it's because she debuted already that's why their standards for her are higher. But, what most people don't know is that Minju actually helped Kriesha a lot by being patient with her during dance practice. And she agreed to do an English song and rap. A lot of people in the comment section don't know how the show works. The casting is only within the context of the show. They're casted by one of the three companies and they train with that company's professionals...and this is only until their next performance. As it stands, and until the show is actually over and contracts can be signed, no one is debuting in any particular company, yet. Lee Hi in her season, for example, was "casted" by YG, JYP, AND SM respectively at different rounds in the show; it was only until after the show ended that YG decided to cast her into his company for real. So to say stuff like "I'm glad MInju is in JYP, she will debut faster," is to show a complete ignorance for how this show works. Minju isn't debuting with any one of the companies, yet. Everything is still fair game. I hope this clears up any confusion.

Kriesha's best performance by far, this is because of Minju's experience. She really gave Kriesha confidence which showed off her star quality. Man I dunno what these idiots here are saying about Kriesha having a sloppy voice compared to Minju. I'm not really a big fan of Kriesha I'm more of Shannon's fan but I can't help but be mad when morons try talking big when they obviously don't know what they're talking about. Kriesha has a wider range and clearer voice compared to Minju, Minju resorts to a weak falsetto to go high while Kriesha can still use her full singing voice. Notice the variations of their voice at 0:55 Kriesha's voice is still full while Minju is barely hanging on with her falsetto. There's a reason why the higher notes were given to Kriesha, while Minju acts as the support. Look who belts at the high note at 2:20 and she hits it perfectly on point without much strain. There's a reason why big producers are excited about someone like her with a wide range and good dance skills. You think your opinion is better than veteran music producers who own top music companies in Korea? There's a reason why the producers pay more attention to her. Kriesha's pitch and notes are more accurate than Minju's who sings some minor flat notes here and there. Kriesha also posses a far superior range. I'm a music student and I know what I'm talking about. It just makes me so mad to see haters talk absolute trash opinion and get 500 likes for it. Are people really that stupid? The best thing about kriesha in addition to her other talents, is her immense ability in being able to be expressive while singing and dancing. I think this is the true mark of a great performer. So many other contestants in the show can sing and dance a little better than kriesha, but none of them can bring their performance to life because they always look so serious. Kriesha can entice the audience; she has charisma. This is why for instance, hyoyeon, is dubbed as one of the best dancers in kpop. They both know how to reel you in because they know how to connect with the audience.

No need to compare - their performances complemented each other's. Minju's experience showed; Kriesha's charm was obvious. I can see why both YG and JYP wanted Kriesha. Mainly because she's young, pretty, dances/sings well enough, trilingual and charming. She's got the basics down to pat. If they ever got her, all she needs is polishing. They don't need to invest too much on her. Her looks are also appealing to Koreans - innocent/bright. She reminds me of Goo Hara, pre-surgery. Minju's age would work against her in this case despite having the talent/looks. It's harder to market older idols. Her voice is good but I can't see her as strong enough to debut solo or as a ballad queen so her path seems to be closer to idols/pop acts Both JYP & YG are aware of that.

I was really glad that Heeyeol pointed out how Minju brings out the best in whoever she's performing with. Putting aside that her performance itself is really strong now, there's more to making a K-pop group than just singing and dancing - you need a leader, and Minju is prototypical leader material. She uses all her experience and support to make the other members shine, and you can't teach that. She's just born with the right nature for it.

And Kriesha didn't need any falsetto to sing the high part of problem re: "head in the clouds... blah blah" and she didn't use plosive (phonological term for stop) just like Ariana did when she sang this live. That girl's name is Minju but the other girl (Kriesha) has a better voice. Let me repost the explanation. "Kriesha has a wider range and clearer voice compared to Minju, Minju resorts to a weak falsetto to go high while Kriesha can still use her full singing voice. Notice the variations of their voice at 0:55 Kriesha's voice is still full while Minju is barely hanging on with her falsetto. There's a reason why the higher notes were given to Kriesha, while Minju acts as the support. Look who belts at the high note at 2:20 and she hits it perfectly on point without much strain. There's a reason why big producers are excited about someone like her with a wide range and good dance skills. You think your opinion is better than veteran music producers who own top music companies in Korea? There's a reason why the producers pay more attention to her. Kriesha's pitch and notes are more accurate than Minju's who sings some minor flat notes here and there. Kriesha also posses a far superior range. I'm a music student and I know what I'm talking about. It just makes me so mad to see haters talk absolute trash opinion and get 500 likes for it. Are people really that stupid? When they first started dancing Minju looked sloppier and her voice is more screechy and high which I personally don't like. Angie C I disagree. I am a dancer as well, and it is obvious here the difference in experience in dancing. The dance here has quite strong moves which need perfect timing or snap and right body angles (like in body rolls) and of course force. Minju has that snap and body angles, but less force (maybe to conserve lung power). For comparison, her moves is quite like BP's Lisa. As to Kriesha, her angles still need to polished and she's not consistent with the body snaps, especially in moves involving arms and elbows.

I know some of you prefers minju but yg and jyp prefer kriesha for a good reason. First, she can basically do whatever an idol can do(minju can too). She's fluent in korean, english and filipino which will definitely help in their activities if they plan to go international. Plus Philippines is also a big kpop market. 2ne1 was so big in there because filipinos loved her even before. Having another filipino in their future groups also help the marketing. Just like every other foreign idol, it really helps to win the hearts of foreigners if there's a member of the same descent.

yes kriesha is good but it's too obvious that they overhyped her and theyre trying to gain audiences. apparently, they knew that kriesha is giving the show good ratings, so they keep her on the spotlight. and based on the kpop industry, kriesha will be a good factor in the marketing since shes from ph and ph is one of the countries that has a large kpop fanbase.

even as a bystander, her charisma is evident on stage. yes she may not be the best in singing and dancing compared to some of the contestants but she's talented enough to reel you in and her charm makes up for some of her weaknesses. she's one of those ppl who u won't get tired watching on stage.

steph baek hey I think he has plans for debuting another girl group because I remember that once black pink debuted the other trainees were left and blackpink are the group who he tested first Since there are more advanced I mean if YG doesn't debut a girl group this year or next year then it's pretty sad to say that until blackpink ends the trainees who have trained for 5 years or more will be pissed as hell I mean that will be like waiting 10 years or more actually more so yeah it's like they would finish university the debut which is just sad but let's just hope once kpop star ends Krisha will be in YG a good agency that can back her up 💪🏻😍💜

i really miss kriesha:( i remember looking up to her back when i was in 7th grade 5 years ago because of this show. if she still wishes to pursue her kpop career even after her health condition, i hope they let her shine and promote her well. she has so much star quality, really underrated and under promoted.

Minju was a part of The Ark, so basically she's a pro, she debuted, she gained fans and more while Kriesha is just a trainee under a company, she studied and accept the Korean culture, she studied their language and she's doing her best to achieve her dream so let us support her if not give her the respect she needed for all we know some Korean people can't easily accept a non-korean identity if it is not well promoted. So yeah. Sorry for my bas english. I'm just sharing my thoughts, I don't mean to offend.
