I was fortunate enough to be warned about opening the shortcut so I didn't have to suffer through fighting and killing Solaire. For me the saddest part was fighting Sif. I had already beaten Artorias and Manus so I got that extra cutscene before the fight.

i went with being the dark lord in my new game plus playthrough and yeah. i like it better just to see the primordial serpents bowing down to me. very fun game, and this parody really did sum up a lot of my experiences with the game.
