The issue for me is they could have paid an artist to do the label. Ai steals from artists to feed its creation of the initial image. So she didn’t come up with the idea, she stole it and then cleaned it up a bit in photoshop. It also makes me wonder how many other candle labels are ai. This isn’t just a “if you like this or don’t oh well” artists careers are at stake. I’ve worked my whole life to be become a professional artist. Kringle is my favorite candle company. I may have to rethink that going forward. I’d rather have a blank label than support ai and the theft of artists work.

AI isn't going away. Technology changes the job market, we also don't have elevators manned by people and streetlights also got rid of the need for a human to direct traffic. You have to adapt your skills with the job market

@@Ruffles2012I know very few serious artist who are enthusiastic about being replaced by amateurs with AI. I can program some midi horns on my Mac, but that doesn’t make me Miles Davis. Your argument would be more persuasive if this art didn’t look like the most generic AI imaginable.

Manning an elevator is not the same as using human creativity and skill to create art. Do you really want to be fed mediocre things with no heart? All this art steals from humans. I guess it’s ok when it’s not stealing from you and not taking your job huh?

I agree with others that this use of AI is very off putting. Especially calling it “artist series.” That’s a slap in the face. Not only does this steal a paycheck from an artist who would have loved the opportunity, but it has been well documented that AI can only create art because it’s been trained on stolen, unauthorized art from actual humans. Better to call it “The soulless computer illustration so we can have better profit margins series.”

Except that an artist did make the art. An artist got paid, she's just with the times and uses AI. Plus AI doesn't equal no effort. AI helps people be more efficient at their jobs.

@@Ruffles2012I realize that AI is a tool, but that doesn’t make the person who uses it an artist. If I gave ChatGPT a prompt to write a novel would that make me a novelist? Real artists hone their craft over years, they don’t just slap together some AI generated images in photoshop.

I absolutely LOVE the look and concept of both collections. I am very disappointed with the choice in fragrances though. To have such an abundance of florals, and not even autumnal blooming florals, doesn't make much sense to me. I hope to see more of these styles in the future but with more consideration to the fragrance choices.

Thank you for the review! I do believe that the black cat one will sale out first as it’s the only one that is giving Fall/Halloween. I appreciate that they were willing to think outside the box but I do wish there was more of fall/Halloween scented to choose from in this collection.

The Kringle artist collection is the most misunderstood collection I believe. I also believe they are my favorite Halloween candles this year. Been burning all of them like crazy with horror movies in particular very atmospheric ones

Right now, we are scheduled for 8:00pm and planned on running 1 hour which would lead into yours. I didn't realize it was AI until I saw the witch hat and books print at Michaels and said "hmmm that looks a lot like that Kringle candle collection...." and compared the two. It is unfortunate, but I do love the moodiness of the labels, so I am buying them. If it's just AI, why was this collection in the works for so long though? I am a little disappointed about the clown scent though, maybe I'll like it. After all, I ended up liking Carnage a lot. Also disappointed that they are not Halloween-y, Autumn scents. After all, I can go into Homegoods and pick up about 4 or 5 Halloween inspired candles for the price of one of these. But again, I'm a sucker for a good label so that's on me.

i love the labels and the scents sound wonderful! We had so many spooky scents in the last release & previous years releases. i give Kringle credit for switching it up with this collection with scents I can burn & enjoy. I look forward to burning them! Thanks Brett & Kringle for the review. 😁

I’m new to Kringle and was wondering how they perform if you use a candle warmer rather than burning them? With pets I can’t leave a candle burning, but can use a warmer. I’ll get the cat and the ghost candles from this collection just because I like the matte ombré jars and those two labels. Maybe if I burn the ghost with 7 Days or Woman in White it will be more spooky? Not intrested in the spell candles. Thanks Brett.

I totally agree, if you dont like this concept, dont buy it, but dont expect your opinion to stop us from buying these candles. I love this concept and I am pleased Kringle is not afraid to think outside of the box.
